Damn! Was really hoping he'd get it.

I heard in the beginning of this process that Sark was the clubhouse favorite... don't know if the mediocre season he had at Washington will have changed that though.

Don't know if I'd rather them have Franklin or Sark...

Again per radio, USC is likely to announce this week. Sark seems to be the favorite. He doesn't scare me that much. UW has been very average since he's been there.

Sark + Tosh + Ed O will be unreal when it comes to recruiting. I don't think any of them are good much less great "coaches" though. Certainly much better than Kiffin, but no one would put them in the top 10 of a coaching list.

I think Sark is a real good coach, and has done a good job at UW. He knows USC and would do a real good job there.

I didn't want Peterson to get it because I didn't want to like USC's coach.

If it weren't for Tosh, I'd be thrilled if SC hires Sark. I don't think he'd cause a huge splash out in LA as he's been completely average at Washington. However, as others pointed out, Tosh is scary and even worse if paired with Ed O.

Hopefully Ed O gets some interest as a head coach cause Sark, Ed O, and Tosh together is scary.

Here's to hoping they go for Sark. I think a USC team without sanctions and led by Franklin is scary. What he's done at freakin Vandy is far more impressive than what Sark has done at UW.

However, Sark and Coach O together at USC is no picnic for the Pac12 or ND.

Recruiting wise Sark, Tosh, EdO would own Cali and it wouldnt be funny. Coaching wise, im not sure they are that good. Sark hasnt exactly turned around Washington and has had plenty of time to do it.

But yes, recruiting wise that would be a huge win bc they would have the talent at usc to win a lot of titles.

2009 Washington 5–7 4–5 7th
2010 Washington 7–6 5–4 T–3rd W Holiday
2011 Washington 7–6 5–4 3rd (North) L Alamo
2012 Washington 7–6 5–4 4th (North) L Maaco
2013 Washington 8–4 5–4 3rd (North)
Washington: 34–29 24–21

Not so sure I call this a real good coach. I think he's an ok coach and very good recruiter but if Kelly was 34-29 since 2009 we'd be calling for his job.

I can't see Coach O being retained. The new coach would have a hard time bringing everyone together given there are a lot of players currently in Coach O's corner.

I'm not sold on Sark as that good of a HC. Everyone went gaga when UW hired him and said they would be back in the mix, but it hasn't happened yet. He will have an easier time recruiting at USC.

Really hoping a southern school like Virginia or Southern Miss or FAU hires Ed O lol. Not down south, but maybe Syracuse? He coached there like 15 years ago.

but isn't about the coaches having familiarity as much as the players meshing/buying in to the new HC. As with any leader, you need all people within the organization to buy in to your approach. If only 80% buy in, you are in trouble and the moment something goes wrong, as there will be division.

Well, Troy certainly likes to keep their hires in house. They probably could have done better....could have done worse. He'll probably do well returning to USC.

Boy Wonder better get his comments in now.... once fall practice starts he won't be talking to the media. We won't hear from him again until the bowl game. Thank God.
