Hemboldt from Rivals with this gem today. Apparently Hilliard, Cornell, and Malik Jefferson are especially close. They talk often about playing at the same school. Also, OSU got off to a rough start in Hilliard's recruitment and are battling back but on the outside looking in at this point and have a lot of work to do. He views Michigan, Oklahoma, and ND as those schools he's confident would make his top 5 if he declared one today.

You know, I really liked his interview the other day on Power Hour. He seemed pretty respectful and I just value that in a kid.

You know, typically I'm not a fan of taking one player just to get another. I guess an exception could be made in this situation. Those other guys are decent..... I guess.

As close as 3 17 year olds from 3 different states that have never met before can be?? .1% chance they all actually go to the same school IMO

Forgive me, but I'm not familiar with Malik Jefferson. Who is he?

OMG, pull out the glasses, drink the Kool-Aid, spiked with something with alcohol, and a hallucinogenic, and lets go back to the cult of the personality.

The power of the program is not one savior at quarterback; it is that you have (or will have) four that can play, and will push each other to play better. The improvement above the neck and below at quarterback is ridiculous!

On defense the same. Hilliard and Cornell, with some of the underrated, athletic freaks we have been pulling in, Trumbetti, JWilliams, Bonner, Okwara, and the list goes on, will put together a fast, flowing, brutal defense that takes your breath away. Kind of like MSU or Stanford. What is Stanford's motto?

Go out on a limb to get a win. Who has a fucking tree for a mascot?

How the hell does Malik Jefferson have connection to Hillard and Cornell?

Lucky can you send me the link to this article, not that I don't believe you I just want to see.

If somehow (~1% chance of this happening) we got Hilliard, Cornell, and Jefferson, that would be a LB haul that would exceed the impact of Lynch, Tuitt, and Ishaq in 2011 (even if Lynch stayed).

You are comparing 3 DE's to 3 LB's. Malik Jefferson could be the best coming out of high school. At the time of the 2011 class no way we would land Ishaq, Tuitt and Lynch. A lot of recruiting to go, the 2011 class showed how great of a recruiter he was. I think we got a little lucky though lol. I think 2011 would have been better because who knows how good Lynch COULD have been, Tuitt doesn't get hurt last year and Ishaq would have played more it could have been amazing. Regardless if we land that coup in 2015 I will shit my pants...again

All my opinion but who knows man you could be right and I could be wrong.

I was saying as an impact group. 2011 was a stupid good haul (what could have been...), and Hilliard and crew would be as well. Don't see it happening but I'd be a happy camper.

Still too early to tell, but in my opinion, ND's in the best position by far.

A LB from a catholic school in Cincinnati. Sounds like Kelly's cup of tea. O$U is my only legitimate concern and they kinda screwed the pooch on his recruiting. The LB depth looks better, but still next to impossible for a guy like Hilliard to not be an instant impact there.

Yeah, I think we're in a good position at this time. I hope we can keep the momentum. I agree with STL. I don't see us pulling all three even if they are friends.

Edit: Wiltfong just posted that this isn't the same as Morgan and his parents. Hilliard's dad likes ND but is just going through the process. Wiltfong said that ND is a major contender so everyone at the Hilliard house likes ND

His dad is the one who spoke to Steve. I hope his father will be visiting with him this weekend because it seems like he is in ND's corner in the way that Morgan's parents were.

Would be awesome to get Morgan on campus this weekend.

Steve just added that he believes that at least one parent goes on every visit Hilliard takes. He thinks his dad has been on every visit. Wiltfong also added that while Mr Hilliard does like ND, it isn't quite the same as Morgan's dad.
