I figured taking on moderation duties was a "relevant accolade" as the OP suggests. I know I may not be considered "quality, informed, entertaining, and/or humorous" but I would most definitely consider Clash and Whiskeyjack all of those things and more. You don't have to account for me, but those two guys right there do their share of moderating AND contribute greatly to the posting community.

TheIrishTP is simply honorable mention. So yes, it's a bit of name dropping. His posting on this site has not garnered being labeled as part of the class (he's under 2000 posts), however his insight and insider information is a valuable part of the community even though frequently he is not the one presenting it. Instead it is passed through other posters.

So you can say that I'm not a valuable poster. That's fine. But Whiskeyjack and Clash are helluva posters and on top of that quality moderators. You don't have to like the IrishTP, but you're honestly a bit out of your mind to think that his info doesn't contribute to this site. All of those guys are respected for the work they do, so that's why I mentioned their titles.

I'm not suggesting a mod can't be a quality poster as well as moderating. Most on here are. But being a mod doesn't mean jack shit to most of us. We're looking at the names of the posters and what they have to offer, not their title. Talk up their traits as posters (as you did above), not their title on here. Most of us are more sophisticated than being awed by trivial crap like that. That's the beauty of IE.

I actually wish TP would post more non-football stuff, he's a pretty funny guy and is "one of the guys" when we hijack threads or run with jokes. And he definitely brings the goods sometimes on info. But again, most of us that interact daily on IE don't care about name dropping or titles. Again, most of us are more sophisticated than that. We don't care about 15-year-old-running-for-class-president type of bs.

Hey now...

I won my 7th grade election for student council by saying "and I'm cool" to end my speech. That shit works.

Lol- wut? At what point did mod = quality, informed, entertaining, and/or humorous poster?

I don't think this matters all that much to us peons, the 99+% of IE, the bread and butter of IE, the heart and soul of IE.

Try and win the vote based on the content of our character...not the status of our title on IE.

Being a mod, just means you don't have a life, job, wife or girlfriend and can spend all day on this site banning people and deleting posts. lol

I actually don't think any of that is true. Except maybe for Beau.

Honorable Mention
IrishTP

In this small class, we have three active moderators and several well-known posters. Many of which are responsible for bringing the lighter side to the board. Considering its size, this class is undoubtedly a grand slam signing.

(Note: If you're a member from 2011 with 2000+posts and not on this list, let me know!)

Are we sure Kuehnja was 2011? Rumors from the IE offices that he registered on Dec 31, was told to wait on a open spot.

If you say it enough, it becomes true.

he was a prop 48 in 2011, he didn't actually join the site until 2012.

Negative ghost rider. We were holding Keuhnja's spot hoping he would be our Heggie, just on a two year delay, but the class of '12 actually used their last scholly on Chris P. Bacon. We felt the potential for an "All-American Name Team" banner was better for our program in the long run than risking Prop 48 issues.

I don't normally vote for myself on things that involve... myself but, after I joined and my fellow classmates joined we played for a Natty. I have to say we are the class that righted the ship. To suggest otherwise is being in denial.
