I remember a few recruits in the past commenting on hot girls at ND, because the recruiting staff managed to have hot girls hosting them or some stuff like that. Also, ND players know how to party.

Wants to get a top 5 by the start of his season then make a decision after officials. Wants to decide early enough to still be able to help recruit other kids to where he's going.

Lots of guys on power hour don't end up going to ND. We actually do better with kids that choose early than late. If you know ND is the place for you, you usually don't need to wait until NSD

Most important recruit this year is Blake Barnett.

This.

Hilliard may very well be the most important recruit on defense. However, Barnett is a program changer IMO. He takes you to the next level at the most important position on the field. Above and beyond number one.

This may not be true for every program, but it is for ND in BK's offense. I think Golson and Zaire will be a nice progression at QB for BK finally, but Barnett has the ability to be the ultimate answer and take the program forward.

When I watch his highlights, I think Blake is a blue-chip version of Tony Pike. Similar build, arm and athleticism, but much more potential and a more dangerous runner.

Tony Pike was far from what you call an athlete though he was basically a taller Tommy Rees

That's a common misconception IMO. Pike had plenty of athleticism, and was especially crafty at avoiding the rush and using his legs to find throwing lanes. He could scramble just fine when there was room in front of him. However, I did understate how much more athletic Barnett is when I made my comparison.

But Pike was far from being a statue.

i thought maybe you were looking at Pike's height and seeing comparisons to Blake. But yah Pike had some skills but I always thought he was a bit overrated and definitely had no bizness being drafted.

Yup. Officials are where the professional salesmen appeal to your emotions. Everyone thinks they are making a more informed decision, but it's actually probably less, IMO. If it's a warm night, your host is cool, and you meet some really cute girl, all bets might be off.

The way to do it is visit all the schools in the summer (or Spring, if possible, since classes are in). Research the schools on your own. Get a feel for the staff. And then pull the trigger. You can use your visits, if necessary, as a tie breaker.

OMG, pull out the glasses, drink the Kool-Aid, spiked with something with alcohol, and a hallucinogenic, and lets go back to the cult of the personality.

The power of the program is not one savior at quarterback; it is that you have (or will have) four that can play, and will push each other to play better. The improvement above the neck and below at quarterback is ridiculous!

On defense the same. Hilliard and Cornell, with some of the underrated, athletic freaks we have been pulling in, Trumbetti, JWilliams, Bonner, Okwara, and the list goes on, will put together a fast, flowing, brutal defense that takes your breath away. Kind of like MSU or Stanford. What is Stanford's motto?

Stay out of the library long enough to win football games.

I'm moving to Cincy in August. I'll try to check out Hilliard in a few games.

"We Work" was one of Harbaugh's original slogans when he came to Stanford

Will they have fast, violent hands and long arms?

Agreed, if we didn't land Morgan this year that would have put Hilliard as a much higher priority but Barnett could be a program changer.
