Seems to use his hands to catch it very well, has good speed, and good field awareness, but most of those would go nowhere at the next level with players who can tackle. Good prospect but would love to watch him running routes instead of WR screens.

What Dafuq are you talking about. I saw two screens on that tape. He ran hitch and go, dig routes, hitches, fade, slants. Not sure what you were watching.

I like this kid I saw a very savy wr who knows how to get off the line and beat man coverage. I think he will be a great possession receiver and redzone target with his size.

Both. He is damn good. Cant teach size, and speed. Hes got both. Deep threat. Works the field well. Barnett and this kid = Lots of TDs.

Just watched his film. I hate player comparisons but he looks like a lankier Floyd with less ball skills (I think its the way he runs that reminds me of him). The physical tools are certainly there.

Edit: Just to be clear I'm more assuming that he doesn't have Floyd's ball skills. Because a highlight tape doesn't show drops and who does have Floyd's ball skills?

I was just writing the same thing. I went back and watched Floyd's HS highlights and there are a lot of similarities in their style of play.

He's also the coach's son (I think). His HC has the same last name.

That's exactly who I thought of. Not quite as athletic but definitely similar attributes.

Little faster than Floyd, and a lot more agile than Floyd. Ofodile has enough wiggle to get free. Not as strong as Floyd coming out of HS, but think of this kid in 3 years. Pretty damn good ball player

From Columbia? That'll be a tough pull probably...

His father AJ Ofodile is the coach of his HS team, played TE in the NFL for a couple years, and went to Missouri. So I guess you could say this will be a tough pull.

Nigerian people tend to like ND. There was actually a Nigerian prince named Ofodile in Dillon in my class.

We've pulled plenty of kids whose parents played at other schools too. Here's to hoping Mizzou regresses to the mean this year!

I feel like unless he comes out and says he doesn't want to go to Mizzou this might be a waste of time.

Columbia is up the road from where I grew up.

Rock Bridge sent 2 kids to UGA in 2011 (Aaron White, a TE, and Logan Gray, a QB). He won't be a tough pull because he's from Mizzou's backyard, he'll be a tough pull because he's a national recruit.

Central MO tends to be very Catholic and, in general, favorable towards ND. Columbia is the exception to that rule of thumb. Rock Bridge sends very, very few students to ND as is. It'll be a tough row to hoe for the good guys here. Based on White and Gray, my gut says he'll go south to play some footbawwwwwwwww.

You are completely right. I re-watched the video and realized that all the missed tackle TD's on screens had just stuck out (probably because it's the most infuriating thing for me to watch). I still think I would love to see more highlights that show more of his ability to find a hole in the zone and really show of his speed to burn his man off the line. They are in the video but that is what I personally like to see more of.

I heard Prince rumors w/Buchi. Anyways there's a Nigerian Prince at my med school so I don't think it's that uncommon.
