Offered yesterday when Denbrock got to CA. Called it his biggest offer yet to 247. Plans on camping this summer and going to a game next fall. Brother plays for Air Force so he'll be watching that game. Denbrock told him he could play anywhere across the line but that he'd be a really good OG or C.

Loy got all excited and threw down a crystal ball to ND

Only area where I never worry is our O-line recruiting. BK and Hiestand identify and reel in studs. Only a matter of time before the draft starts to reflect that.

And that shouldn't be too long.

Is there a rule that he has to make a prediction as soon as a kid gets an offer? Jeebus.

LMAO. Not in his Top 3. So much for that Crystal Ball by Loy

He called the offer his biggest yet and yet we don't make the top 3? Color me confused. Then again, long, long way to go.

Really enjoyed watching the team in Colorado Springs and is trying to make it out for the BYU game. Parents are adamant about him attending a school with top notch academics and they both love what ND offers.

Quote from BGI:
"They both really love that school," noted Okun. "My parents would definitely be comfortable with me going to Notre Dame. It has everything you want in a school."

With Tillery and Hoge on board*, is he elite enough to be that third guy who wraps up OL recruiting for 2015?

With Okun and Hoge both being inside guys, I would hope we grab one more tackle type and call it a wrap. I like 4 OL every cycle anyway for depth purposes. Unforeseen attrition always happens.

- ND will definitely be in his Top 5 along with Cal and Oregon. He's unsure of the last two.

- USC is recruiting him the hardest of the schools that haven't offered but is unsure if he will visit them even though he has in the past.

- ND has everything he's looking for and really wants to visit.

- Will start setting up visits for the spring and summer.

- Denbrock is his recruiter.

- Thinks he is a better run blocker then pass blocker right now.

Can someone explain this to me. Why doesnt he just make it a top 3 with ND, Cal, and Oregon. Why bother with a top 5 when you dont even know what two schools are going to be. It is obvious he favors those 3 schools above all others.

Because then he wouldn't get the extra tweets and swoons when he narrows his five down to three.

Because you get 5 officials so if your were going to play out the process, a top 5 would be the schools you could visit for free.

Yeah calling it a top 5 might help keep other schools interested so you can schedule those OV's where you really want to as well.

He did on October 11, we weren't in it.

He has fallen a pinch since the profile was made. I'd like to get him committed regardless.

How many OLs are we recruiting in this class? Also, with two already committed, is it going to be first come first in basis for the remaining spots, how many that may be? Thanks in advance.

My best guess is we would take four this cycle.

As it stands, I think there might be 15 OL on the roster going into '15 (I could be wrong). 2, MAYBE 3 more should be plenty. Lots of other needs on the team beside OL to be taking up 18+ roster spots.

i personally don't think we need to push for commitments...seemed to work last year waiting on the guys we wanted so i would imagine we take the same stance this year.
