22 years.

Billy Crystal who was Leno's first guest 22 years ago helps say goodnight.

Randomly TV was on NBC when flipping through the interwebs and he came on. Jump to IE and here we are. Glad the two met and I get the chance to catch it.

Couldn't look the same way at Jay after the Conan business. Tarnished his legacy imo.

Letterman should have had that job. I haven't watched a late night show regularly since Johnny retired. He was the best.

I like Conan and Kimmel a lot. Not a huge fan of Leno, Letterman, or Fallon.

You guys ever watch the TV Movie about the whole Letterman vs Leno fiasco? Pretty good watching.

My girlfriend was saying the other night that she thought Fallon has the chance to be the next Johnny Carson. Besides the obvious that no one will ever be the next Carson, I just don't think that's possible in this day and age with the competition of other late night talk show hosts. Letterman is the legend, Kimmel has sort of the cool L.A. factor going for him now and Conan is sort of the goofy alternative now on cable. I think Fallon is funny but I think he'll be lucky to keep up with Jay's ratings, because he'll lose the Senior crowd that loved Leno and I'm not sure he'll pull away the 18-34 yr olds from Kimmel.

All fair, but I think Fallon is surprisingly good. I didn't even want to like him. Kimmel is another guy I hated (because of that stupid "Man Show" on comedy central with that idiot Dr Drew), but he is actually not bad, either.

I like Fallon, I just think people still view the Tonight Show as the premier gig in the Late Night war. I got that feeling when Conan took over and the main reason he didn't last was because of poor ratings. I just don't see it being much different with Jimmy Fallon. If Fallon is third in ratings behind Letterman and Kimmel I wonder if NBC can live with that?

I do think Fallon could lose the Senior crowd, I think that's what happened to Conan. So, where does that demographic go now? Letterman I guess? Fallon probably isn't quite as goofy as Conan, but he definitely appeals to a younger crowd that Jay did. I think NBC has to view this as a time of transition though. They have to hope that Fallon retains as much of Jay's crowd as possible and bring a new generation with him. It may be a bit rocky again at first, but you have to build. CBS will go through the same problem when Letterman decides to hang it up.

Ferguson / Conan > Fallon > Leno > Letterman > Kimmel.

I'm right with ya here.

That show hasn't been cancelled? I watched it once and had no idea who some of the guests were. Absolutely awful interviewer as well

Here were some of the best interviews/guest that Arsenio ever had:

<iframe width="420" height="315" src="//www.youtube.com/embed/oMDZihE-KrA" frameborder="0" allowfullscreen></iframe>

Funny thing about the last one...Arsenio suggests Macho Man should release a rap record. 10 years later he did

Leno would have lost the seniors as well. Eventually they won't be watching anything.

I think Fallon's a nice guy, but sometimes he's just so annoying

Kimmel was on The Man Show with Carolla, not Dr. Drew. Drew and Carolla were on Loveline together.

I personally don't think any of them are overly funny... Most have a skit or two than are funny...
