How many True 5-Stars will Notre Dame sign in 2015?

You will, more likely than not, be disappointed. That's roughly 10% of the 5 recruits in a given cycle. That doesn't happen often.

The star rating is nice, but I am really not concerned. I think Barnett could end up the number 1 qb in the entire class. I also think (hope) that we will get both cornell and hilliard, plus a very good runningback. Five stars are very hard to receive and it truly does not matter.

Ratings are fickle. A kid can be inches from being a 5 star on a site.

But we already have two of the best OL, and one of the best QBs in next years class. And I would trade none of them.

Are you asking about espn ratings? If so, we need to take into consideration the irish commit slide. Seems to happen with a majority of our highly rated guys that are committed for a while.

Depends on how hard they try to keep Blake Barnett down. No way he should not be a top 20 recruit when all is said and done, IMO. Especially if you compare him to Kyle Allen.

By any site or 247 composite? Barnett will be a 5 star, I'm gonna guess w/Hiestand we pull a 5 star O lineman or one of the current guys ends a 5 star. RB maybe, the depth chart should land us a good one with none in the incoming class. I'm guessing w/WRs we get 2-3 on O total.

D I have no idea. I guess 1 maybe 2. So 3-5 total.

BVG will nail down 3 five star on the D side alone regardless of our overall performance. If the O is dynamic with Golson back, I'm thinking BK will lock down on 2 additional. If we fizzle on O again, maybe 1.

So at least 3, but I'm going with 5 on the assumption the O turns into a BK type O.

Depends. I think Barnett is pretty much a lock to be a 5-star and the #1 QB in the country. Good thing Kelly locked him up early. Next, I expect either Hoge or Tillery to gain a 5th star over the summer. Probably Tillery, considering scouting sites have a hard-on for southern recruits. I do believe ND ends up with both Cornell and Hilliard, though it's too early to tell (Cornell is pretty much a ND lock).

I think Barnett will be a consensus 5 star by the time the process is over. I think we'll land one of Cornell and Hilliard, maybe (hopefully) both. And I could see one of the thousand 5 star DT's taking interest. So I'd say anywhere from 2-4.

I'm just pumped we have Barnett so early. Don't care if he gets the 5th star or not...he'll be a stud.

Barnett to me is a 5* prospect. There is literally not one qb in this loaded class that I'd take over him. Rosen may be better, but not for our offense. I like Barnett's play and attitude a lot.

I do think we get Cornell. I think Michigan is struggling at the right time for that to happen. OSU seems to be more of a threat and they'll beat at least ten of the high schools they play this year.

Minkah is going to be an extremely tough pull but he's myn number one want in this class so I refuse to give up hope already. He outplayed Peppers in the state tournament last year. He's a stud.

One thing I hope this class gets on defense is an upgrade in talent along the line. I love the potential in this years class with Blankenship, Jhonny Williams, Hill, Trumbetti, & Hayes. This year though, it would be nice to land 2 or 3 difference makers up front.

If you look at first 25 players on the 247 composite, all but Beckner are from the south.

I will say zero but a lot of strong four star players. I think Hilliard and Cornell will be around 25-40 but not among the top 10-15 elite.
