According to ESPN there's like only 14 5 star players this year. So, I don't really feel bad we didn't get any. We have in the past but its not a melt down if we don't.

Someone just told me that every 5 star recruit that Saban has recruited to Bama was eventually a 1st Rd. Pick. Kind of crazy if true.

Well considering the amount of 1st round busts Alabama has had in the NFL......................
On the whole, I saw it cited that only 13% of 5
players (per Rivals) end up as 1st round draft picks.

It was cool. The ND guys went first so my interest in the event waned after that. I was able to follow most of the bitch-fest on my phone. You can watch the entire event in the link I posted above.
I talked to the guys after the interview I posted and they're really awesome kids. I'm happy they will be representing ND for the next 4-5 years.
The best part, besides the ND portion of the show, was being in AT&T Stadium for the first time. That place is ridiculous.

Heard Brian Kelly on a radio interview here in Michigan. Synopsis:
2 NFL teams came after him this year. He is saying he will be at ND until he wins a championship, then he may entertain the NFL.
The two recruits who physically look the part are Grant Blankenship and Justin Brent.
This may be old info, but I thought it was interesting.

I CANNOT BELIEVE AS MUCH SMARTER THAN ME AS EVERYONE IN RECRUITING IS, THAT NOBODY TALKED ABOUT THIS RELATED TO KELLY'S RECRUITING, WHEN HE EVEN TOLD EVERYONE THERE WOULD BE A SHIFT IN RECRUITING FOR THE PLAYOFF FORMAT WITH THE BCS BEING RETIRED!!!!!

No, I am not on crack. I am just not the butt-hurt asshole you appear to be. I was responding to this, "Like it or not, this is how you win championships."
I strongly believe there is no sure-fire way (or formula that can be rolled out, other than paying for it). The year they beat ND, there was a 1.7 per cent chance that the three teams ahead of ND would lose, sure Alabama was the best team in the country for that one game, but in that one game the difference was Saban, the best prep man in the country.
So this year they were out. And this year they had more number one classes behind them than last year. Last year they made it to the game by the slimmest of margins (circumstances). And the difference in winning it was the coaches game prep, which a statement like that completely devalues.
So my final big point is the playoff system. The year Alabama Stomped us in the NC game, they were healthy again. They were twice the team they were coming down the stretch. Next year there will be the conference championship, a playoff semi-final and the National Championship game, with much less time to nurse key players back to health.
Kelly said he had experience at this at GVSU. He said he would recruit different because of it. Yes Bama's top five player are better, but rate 12 to 23?
Stuff that in your pipe. (Just kidding about the last, but it was a nice flourish, wasn't it?)
