After watching the longer video somebody needs to just wall off that entire school and pretend it never existed...seriously how do people get so pumped up and act so retarded over that. With a guy making a video, it had to be well known it was about to happen. Pathetic, disrespectful, ill-mannered, and inhuman behavior all around.

Ok rant over

Yeah, if the body slam wasn't messed up enough, the students going nuts and clapping and acting thrilled about it was icing on the effed-up cake. I thought it might start a riot lol.

I will lose all respect for Dantonio and MSU if they don't pull his scholarship. They stuck with him through the handshake stuff, but I really don't see them putting up with this nonsense.

That entire school, just... wow. I have a hard time seeing that program producing any player I would want on our team. Just asking for problems.

It is a private school. It is actually a pretty nice looking school from the outside. It is close to Comerica park and Ford Field.

No way this kid plays for any major school outside of the SEC, not a chance in hell a coach wants that kind of exposure.

And look i understand most of those kids were probably between 16-18 years of age but that was borderline mob mentality, no matter if you know the kid or not you cant sit back and allow that to happen. Whoever said product of his environment earlier is spot on. That school is a joke

Reminds me of the Randy Moss mess. I wonder about "roid rage." Do these kids get ped testing"?

Other than two comments this thread is all about personal prejudices and contains remarkably little information.

I am really getting tired of those that want these kids to be able to avoid the rules at every turn, not help overturn the dysfunction of their disadvantages, and then want to mock them as they publically melt down.

I am not sure which betrays a greater lack of character.

I would normally agree. This is a 2nd major deal with this kid, tho'. Maybe he gets his ish together, I don't know. But, at what point does he stop getting the benefit of the doubt? It's tough, sure, but he body-slammed a security guard. That's a little past mouthing off to a teacher or getting caught smokin weed.

Uhm! I don't think we disagree. I think animals should be locked up. But we can only do that so long and claim any moral authority. We have a system that is a prescription for producing these animals. It needs to be torn down. And the conversation as the job is much broader than football. But one of these days one of these "Blessed Children" are going to assault the wrong person. They are not going to have the luck of the Michigan kicker or tackle, the FSU quarterback, or any number of others. Hell you can even include the brand new shiny Alabama CB!

The video of the handshake incident shows that the kid has serious issues going on, even before this new messed up video. When an adult has to wrap you up or pin you to the ground to get you to not do something stupid, there is a deeper mental issue at hand. It might not even be a lack of discipline, simply a lack of control. That's the type of thing you go to therapy for.

For example, Fetal Alcohol Syndrome; some studies show 85 percent of those incarcerated in American jails are victims, and the percentage of violent offenders could be higher. Forceps, and other damage from delivery. Screw up the pre-frontal cortex enough, and you got a person with little or no impulse control, and no ability to plan for future events, or perceive of consequence ahead of time.

This type of behavior cannot be excused or explained by the whole "system" argument. One only has to consider how many guys can make it through high school without these types of incidents. Just because he has had enablers and is from a disadvantaged background doesn't give him the right to behave this way. What ever happened to personal responsibility? I get tired of hearing about how these kids are a product of their environment. What about the scores of kids we don't hear about that don't bodyslam security guards? I realize his situation does make him staying out of trouble more difficult since there is way more trouble to find, but he chose to behave this way. It is apparently not an isolated incident either. I have a feeling this kid's story will not have a happy ending.
