No but there aren't two better recruiters on staff then Denbrock and Alford . I think they are sending Alford to try and swing momentum. Alford is a top 5 recruiter in the country.

Just curious, is anyone else reporting this?
Seems with a staff member who rarely (ever?) goes to California to recruit a high-profile athlete, more people would be reporting it.

I've felt this way for a while, but with the news of Alford getting involved with Quick, my confidence has definitely increased. He should head south and see JuJu while he's in CA.

Fixed the bolding. Not saying I agree with those sentiments IM8 expressed at the time (because personally I thought Juju would always come back around to USC eventually IF they hired the right guy) but at that juncture Juju had gone from eliminating USC when Kiffin was coach to having them very borderline while USC was searching for a new guy. Sark + his uncle + Viane flipping from Bama to SC = all stuff that changed since that post to get Juju leaning the way he is now.

'At that moment' (the USC weekend), which is what I said, it was 100% true that JuJu and Drue were more likely than Quick and Elam.
Feel free to ask any site mod or analyst, or even the most knowledgable recruiting guys on this board (GITF, LuckyLucci, STL, IM3, Clashmore, Lax, LA, etc) - I am extremely confident they would agree with my assessment. If Kiffin was not fired, or they hired an underwelming HC choice, it would be a much different race for Juju.

I understand your point, but I believed (Daresay know with Hayden being in charge at USC) that as long as they didn't make a stupid hire, Juju was going to USC no matter what, and that's what I based my prediction on (Quick more likely than Juju - even without knowing the exact future of USC/coach).
And with Hayden, it just wasn't going to be a bad hire, so that's why I thought it was true then.
Come on, you guys know WAY more than I do in recruiting. Can't I have just this one?

It would have taken both Kiffin being fired and them hiring a sexy hire that JuJu liked (helps again that his Uncle was part of Sark's staff) for them to be back in it. JuJu was 100% not going to USC if Kiffin was there. That's a fact.
It broke perfectly for USC to regain all the momentum with him. It happens. I think we still have an outside shot, but all the smart money is on the Trojans right now.
I won't even harp on the fact that you had Elam more likely than Tranquil...

I hear ya, I just thought a Kiffin firing was imminent, either during the season or after (which was my guess). With that belief, I knew Juju was going to be a Trojan.
Hey, in my defense, you were the only one that knew Drue was visiting that weekend, otherwise he would have definitely made my top 5 most likely!

USC have a nice momentum right now, i would not be surprised at all if that happen. Anyway, his senior tape is good but nothing special, i think Mckenzie is better.

Wouldn't surprise me, he's always been OU's to lose IMO. Seems to have friends there he communicates with on twitter. Just the other day he posted a pic of him sporting an Oklahoma hoodie, coupled with some phrase that only GB could decipher, lol.
That's not what Johnson said. Fwiw. He did say that he thinks Quick goes to Oklahoma.

Yeah, I think it was lost in translation lol. The feeling at USC is that he is definitely headed to OK; even Johnson said that in other quotes.
