AMP...because I hate my bones being too dense.
I also hate: my liver, my heart, my kidneys, my pancreas, my gull bladder...did I miss anything?

My only nod to Bushmills stems from a trip to Ireland in 1990. My wife and I were on a lengthy trip that involved renting a car and doing a "circle tour" while occasionally dipping into the interior.

It was late October. We were in the north on a blustery, cool and rainy day tromping around the countryside. We were drenched and miserable and decided to pop into the Bushmills Distillery. We were the only ones there and the gent manning the bar had nothing better to do than serve us a few free hot toddies each until we warmed up.

Hopping in the car to drive to The Devil's Causeway may not have been the best decision – driving on the "opposite" side of the road, shifting the manual transmission with my left hand and smashing the bill of my cap into the window when looking up and to the right (out of habit) to glance in the rear view mirror – but we survived.

I think you may need a few stiff ones before braving "The Devil's Causeway." Jeez, who the hell names the roads over there? The Committee for Terror and Spiritual Deflation?

Oops. It was "The Giants Causeway." It's an incredible and beautiful rock formation. Look it up on the ol' iNet.

When you make it to the west side of the State, find a Mega-Bev, they always have Lagunitas in stock.

I am drinking Arbor Brewing- Mr.Delicious, double IPA with a nice malty finish. Probably the best IPA I have tasted. Also had A Saugatuck Brewing- Neapolitan Milk Stout. More Chocolaty taste than vanilla and strawberry as advertised. But pretty good otherwise.

Mega bev, eh? They carry the Lagunitas seasonals? Might be in GR next month for work so I'll check it out. Thanks.

Ive had Ypsi Gypsy from Arbor but never Mr Delicious. I'll have to try that one.

I had the day off from work for an in-house job interview. Now that it's finished, I'm celebrating with this year's Hopslam from Bell's. In my mind, it is a standard bearer of what a Double IPA should be. The aromas of citrus and pine punch you in the face as you go for the first sip of a liquid that is Pantone amber with a touch of gold. It's just a bitter, beautiful beer.

What's that? It's 4:45 in the afternoon? Shit... well, it's past five in Nova Scotia, amiright?

Spirytus rektyfikowany polish vodka. It never tastes good, but apple juice helps after the shot.

I'll start with this: Bud light is not a beer. It is a sad, carbonated soft drink infused with alcohol. It has vile hints of poorly processed rice. Wait. Did I say "hints?" Nay. Both Bud and Bud light should be prosecuted for abuse of rice, which can play an exquisite role in an alcoholic beverage.

My son gave me a bottle of Milk Stout Nitro from Left Hand Brewing Co. after a Thanksgiving dinner with his girlfriend's family. If I could afford it, at the volume of beer I consume, it would be my everyday brew. An obvious payoff. Manning can't be that taste bud dead ... unless blows to the head have taken a toll on his taste bud receptors to "oh, that's gooood brain receptors."

Milk Stout Nitro is like Guinness on crack. So good.

Pregame at 2 in the pm? Outstanding.

Like I said the semester just started, it's just one of those days. I literally thought about everything I could do. Reading for Monday? Three day weekend. Research? Can't, don't know my topic. Apartment is clean, and I already have plans for dinner taken care of... Sounds like as good day to see how long I can maintain a steady buzz. Plus Ten Fiddy might be the best stout I've ever tasted.

I am jealous. Maybe they'll let us start drinking at work...

I look back at my time in school and I wonder how I found time to do anything... let alone drink myself silly.

anyway, I had some Angry Orchard Cinful (seasonal) last night... I really like AO for ciders and this may have been the best yet... really good if you like cider.

Due to my usual liquor store slowly recovering from a week and a half of no deliveries because of Snowmageddon, I came home with some Arrogant Bastard Ale. Seen it mentioned here a few times, figured I'd try it.

Bomber #2 down. Not a "hallelujah" moment after that first sip, but I'm definitely enjoying the ride. Has a nice bite to it, and I'm intrigued now to try Stone IPA and some of their other stuff.

Always thought ABA was one of Stones lesser beers.... Love Stone IPA though, one of my very fav beers period.
