I think he's just speaking the truth, really. There's been such a huge influx of cash into the NCAA the last 10-20 years, it's crazy. I mean, universities were doing pretty well even before that, but between TV contracts, bowl money, ticket sales, and who knows what else...it's become a giant business. It's natural that players want a cut of it, and players are certainly getting a cut of it one way or another. If they aren't getting it from their own school, they're getting it from boosters, or they're getting it from deals on the side like this. I'd like to think our players don't engage in this kind of stuff, and I'm sure there are some schools that police it pretty well and don't let it fly, but it's hard to police 85 players. You can't monitor deals that go on in back rooms, and unless theres proof that money changed hands, nothing will probably come of it.
