UA knows what they are doing... They know who they just signed with,... They're not going to piss off the high water pants/overalls traditionalists by pulling a Maryland at ND... They'll have a funky SS thing and prob leave it at that.

The only reason Maryland's Uni's are like that is because the owner or what you want to call it was a grad from Maryland and they let him pretty much have his way with them. That WON'T happen here!

That was my point.

Can we resolve when this takes effect? I've read "end of this academic year," meaning we'd have UA uniforms next season, and I've ready "2015," meaning we have one more season with adidas.

I'm excited about this!!! Most of my hoodies the past 2 years are Under Armour Storm hoodies, and they're great for working out!!! I've now got 6 of them along with shorts, and my son just asked for some UA batting gloves for baseball......like it or not, UA is making some really good products for sports, and not just clothing!!!!

I'm fine being the minority here. I love the move for selfish reasons.

I'm 6'4 and about 215 of pure white chocolate. Adidas clothes don't fit me worth a damn. Nike and UA are made for people with my build. I love it.

That's probably about right. I'm 6'2 260 and adidas has always fit me better than any other brand. Shit, even when I played I liked their cleats better. Maybe I'm biased...

UA is vastly superior to Adidas for football if that is all people care about. Soccer people I know are pissed. People who see UA and think Maryland are apoplectic. It's going to very much so be a net positive move.

They havent messed up Auburn too much. My problem with them is what they do with the quality of their cleats and gloves. They always ripped too quickly when I played and were not seen as being quality. They do a good job with Baseball, Basketball they do a poor job, but overall this is not a terrible decision.

Should be switched over to UA by fall?

BTW, announcement is coming Monday. Should have official details then.

+1. The Turning Point article says this upcoming season.

I've heard both, the 10 year extension was signed November 2005... but by the most confident person, it starts next year.

Based on the series of unfortunate events that have occurred since the switch, I have already determined that ND will be cursed throughout their relationship with Under Armour.

The only thing this "armour" seems to protect us from is good luck.

It was SIGNED November 2005, but that doesn't necessarily mean it was effective November 2005. Contract extensions have retroactive start dates all the time.

Also, ND might want to terminate the Adidas contract before its term ends just to avoid the awkwardness of a lane duck relationship.

FWIW, ESPN says the Adidas agreement is out at the end of the school year. IMO, it wouldn't make sense for ND to make any public statements if there is a ton of time left with Adidas.

I don't think it would make any sense to announce a new deal with UA if Adidas were to supply them through the 2014-2015 season.

IMO, come this fall they'll be supplied by Under Armour.

Just confirmed with a source as good as it can possibly get that it will be full go fall next year.

I'm a Notre Dame fan. This has no effect on me. I don't give a shit if Wrangler is the sponsor.

Nuke-I'd rep u, but can't. Wrangler would be cool, but truthfully, I'd like to see Sitka or Kryptek sponsor the team. lol!

Kinda anxious to see UAs version of our uni's

Seriously though, maybe and interlocking ND or "Irish" under the collar too. Similar to the old Adidas jerseys.

You can't make everyone happy and recipients of free stuff should be more grateful and less vocal. I bet UA does a great job.

...kinda agree here. I'm old though.

UA will be guided by the ND hands that have guided Addidas...they may provide a touch that makes it all identifiable as UA...but no way ND folks go all Terrapins on this...

And if the quality and price of the gear is out of line, UA will be the one to lose...ND will get its pay and keep its brand in tact...

For reasons obvious to some, I'd just as soon that Dickies have the contract ...
