The staff stated they would welcome his commit now and also would like for him to take his official now, whether he will or wont remains to be seen.

Yeah, I'd caution everyone in taking that update at face value.

I don't want to come after Loy again and be wrong, and I'm sure what he's reporting from McKenzie's angle is "accurate." But he's reporting what McKenzie is saying and we've all seen how he'll tell 3 different people 3 different things. Tells one reporter he has test scores, another he doesn't. Tells one guy he did X, and another he didn't. Tell one reporter ND knew he was going to commit and he talked to the coaches, tells another he's got to call them still but it's all cool, and tells a third that they didn't know.

He very well may be a "take" for other programs. As I've said, I expect someone like Oregon or Florida to let him sign and works towards qualification if he isn't there yet. And maybe ND is in that boat too now... but he still has work to do.

According to Loy who has talked with McKenzie a lot over the last few months, he's really enjoying the limelight that he believes he deserves. If it plays out this way I will be dumbfounded and honestly a little disappointed in the kid.

Right? Can you imagine traveling down to Florida to visit this kid and spend time with him versus your own kids, then he turns around and gives you the big middle finger when he feels your time is no longer needed. I would have a very hard time being a college recruiter.

Dude I agree, I would blow my top with this kid. It appears that ND was the only one sticking by him through his academic struggles and giving him a chance, I guess there is a chance Oregon and Florida were talking to him too through this process but based on Loy's and Mike's information throughout it seemed like Alford was really the only recruiter out there that showed faith in IM getting through this and he just drops us just like that, what a joke.

Agreed. Not saying Loy is lying, but I just think his sources are wrong or inaccurate here. NO ONE else is saying he is qualified or a take for ND right now - in fact just the opposite.

I think Loy is a real good guy, and has been working really hard, but sometimes his sources are putting him in the best situations. He basically called Dickerson a liar and then backtracked real hard yesterday, and Christian on ISD basically put him on blast in the Intel without mentioning names by saying that he kid definitely didn't lie to the staff at all.
