Coach D on ISD's comments on Nyles:

Morgan is a huge, huge pickup for ND. Landing Morgan and Sykes to go with Michael Deeb puts the ILB position in great shape moving forward. All three of those kids can flat out play! Morgan has the upside to be a star. He'll need some work, as all incoming freshmen do, but he's got a lot of ability. Great pickup for ND.

like others have said the 2014 class is done so just bring on the Heggie's/RKG's that are left!

Awesome class so far, if we just hold the class together we should have some good depth across the board minus maybe nose tackle. Excited for the future of the Irish!

never been so happy to see Notre Dame Verbal in a recruit's profile heading

He's one of the best for sure. Last year I was pumped when Jaylon committed but that wasn't a huge surprise. I was even more pumped for Redfield and Vanderdoes. ND has gotten commitments from some really good players recently.

So, with the commitment of Morgan and Sykes can we assume that ND is good to go with Core 6 and will be better able to recruit Chicago going forward? It seems like these commitments might have very positive long term ramifications.

If not then the only thing left is to put them all on staff and start paying them. In all seriousness this should put a huge hole in the wall they built up against us. Chicago should be fertile grounds again.

I don't follow recruiting very closely but a fair number of you used to say we had no shot at Morgan. Uh, I guess Brian Kelly can recruit. Just based on watching the Army ALL American game, Nyles Morgan looks like the real deal reguardless of how many recruiting stars. Super athletic looking for a ILB. Excited as a fan to have him!

The last couple of LBs from Chicago area were Fleming and Filer in 2008. Excited for Morgan and Skyes, if they can have the impact of Fleming and Filer, they will have a good career on and off the field.

i'm personally hoping for a better impact than Fleming and Filer.

Fleming was good, but Filer was a bit of bust

I love that we now have some depth AND star power at the ILB position. Nothing like getting an impact player at arguably our biggest position of need.
