Another couple of years, and I'm sure the stories will have grown into him having had to go to the emergency room to have a gerbil removed from his rectum.
"In retrospect, lighting the match was my big mistake. But I was only trying to retrieve the gerbil." Eric Tomasewski told bemused doctors in the Severe Burns Unit of Salt Lake City Hospital. Tomaszewski, and his homosexual partner, Andrew "Kiki" Farnum, had been admitted for emergency treatment after a felching session had gone seriously wrong. "I pushed a cardboard tube up his rectum and slipped Raggot, our gerbil, in," he explained. "As usual, Kiki shouted out "Armageddon", my cue that he'd had enough. I tried to retrieve Raggot but he wouldn't come out again, so I peered into the tube and struck a match, thinking the light might attract him."
At a hushed press conference, a hospital spokesman described what happened next. "The match ignited a pocket of intestinal gas and a flame shot out the tube, igniting Mr. Tomaszewski's hair and severely burning his face. It also set fire to the gerbil's fur and whiskers which in turn ignited a larger pocket of gas further up the intestine, propelling the rodent out like a cannonball."
Tomaszewski suffered second degree burns and a broken nose from the impact of the gerbil, while Farnum suffered first and second degree burns to his anus and lower intestinal tract.
Wait...
this thread went where again???

I dunno ... Res Life (if it even existed way back when I was an ND student) was a whole lot looser and more willing to look the other way. Unless it it involved confiscating a keg of beer. My understanding was that they had every tap known to man hanging on the wall.
He's 244 now, why would he want to lose weight as a DE?
He's mentioned that he wants to be at 265 for the combine.
First night on campus, our rector called all the freshmen together and outlined his alcohol policy, which was basically "If I don't see it, I don't have to report it." An hour or so later I heard a noise outside my room, and saw two guys rolling a keg down the hall. Yeah, things were somewhat looser back then.
I neglected to mention that it was the Kampus Kops that had the taps on the wall. At the time the official policy was that consumption of alcohol, regardless of age, in the comfort of one's dorm room was acceptable. "Public" areas were a different story, but never really enforced unless violence or excessive (late night) noise was involved. Even then it was "iffy."
Hell, even pot smoking was tolerated when done subtly. My guess is that my comportment – and that of my roomies – would have gotten our asses kicked out of school in these more modern, more restrictive times. Not to mention earlier crew-cut days.
The night I moved into Holy Cross Hall (RIP), with no Rector in sight, I helped capture a bat flying up and down the hallway with my tennis racket and the gray, wool blanket from my (later that night to be my roommates's) bed. Welcome to ND!!!
I wish only the the best for Aaron.
All of that in that little log cabin?
Nothing against the kid, i just dont see him going before round 5
If he gets to the 4th and my Bears pass, I will be screaming at my tv.
Did any of you watch him this year? He was rusty early, but he is still a very unique athlete. He had 5.5 sacks, 11.5 tackles for loss and returned a fumble for TD. He might be a bonehead, but I would be excited if my team picked up a kid that talented with a 4-6 round pick. If he would have stayed at ND, he very well may be a 1st round pick.
