This is all fantastic news, Tristan is a monster, as will our OLine for years to come.

Just wanted to say that Alex Morgan looks phenomenal in your gif... phenomenal.

Kelly has been recruiting his ass off. Also helps that we went 12-0 last year haha but still...I can't wait for the future in South Bend. Wish 2013 would have gone better but 2014 and beyond is looking amazing.

Quote:
“I’ve been in contact with Blake,” Hoge said. “Last weekend, we were exchanging text messages and stuff. He’s definitely a swell kid. He’s definitely somebody I’d want to snap to for the next four years."

LOL. Who uses the word "swell" like this anymore? I love this kid. Harry needs a bonus.

I know...and I had a post about a kid saying sheesh a week or two ago. Did BK start recruiting the 1950's?

Just another outstanding addition to what is starting to have the look of our best I-line ever! Welcome aboard big guy!

Now we need to continue to load up on the d-line. I think we are doing pretty well just need to get a couple sure things ala Tuitt and Nix. Easier said than done but, have a lot of faith in the coaching staff.

I think the key to all of this though is behind these great o-line prospects we have some potentially great signal callers. If the defense continues to be strong, we should definitely continue on this up swing!

Just stumbled upon Tristen's Dad and Barnett's Dad exchanging congratulations. Seems funny/wierd to see recruits parents interacting on Twitter haha.

Seems like he is well inside the top 100 with the other services. I know that rankings vary a lot from service to service, but I would have thought he was a strong candidate to be a top-100 guy so I guess top-250 doesn't excite me all that much.

He's #92 on 247 and #70 on ESPN. So if he's in the low 100s that is not that far off. Scout doesn't do overall rankings but I believe his ranking (#1 OG) on there is his highest.

He's #27 on Scout. And for whatever reason is not listed as a commit...

I may be imagining things, but I think that Rivals takes into account the quality of competition more than any other service. Aren't they the ones with Elam lower than all others?

Tristen Hoge is another great kid coming to Notre Dame under Brian Kelly. I know the "rkg" label has become a cliche but the more I learn about this young man, the more it just fits.

Also, how qualified is Beth Long to be critiquing offensive linemen and their reps in a practice? Serious question.

While you may be right about her creds, some reps are just obviously good and no amount of training is necessary to be able to say it. I for one am thrilled to be hearing good reps coming out of a place where you usually hear about Dlineman dominating.

Looking at the recruitniks who are shrimpy tools who got into sports journalism because they wanted to be close to the jocks...I'd say equally qualified.
