You'd have to be nuts to pick Mizzou over Notre Dame. I know they're having a good year, but that's just not a big-time program.

Back in the sixties, Dan Devine lead a very successful program at Missouri. Come to think of it, Devine had success at two other universities - Arizona State and the college that twice hired coaches from high school to lead their football program.

Missouri is in a good spot, IMO. They seem to take their sports seriously in terms of fan support, and it sounds like they are ready to race to the bottom with the rest of the SEC.

I'm admittedly a poor judge of talent unless it's apparent, but I wish I could see Williams against better competition because if you showed me his senior film and I didn't know his rankings, I'd guess high 4-star.

That is why the camps are, in fact, useful. Quality of competition is a good indicator of how fast a kid will adjust to college. But overall athleticism is more important in the long term.

I should have added, that I would have guessed 2-star based on his junior film.

I assume it's a good thing that he's shown that much improvement.
