Can't believe he died 8 years ago. Return to the 36 Chambers is a classic from when hip-hop was cool.

Isn't that the truth. Wu Tang is a throwback to a time before hip-hop was just marketing. I was never the biggest fan but I respect that those guys always stayed true to their craft.

Example of what I mean: Most hip hop acts don't use samples on their records any more because it is prohibitively expensive to get them cleared with the rightsholders. You used to be able to clear pretty much anything less than a minute as a matter of course, but then rightsholders realized there was money to be made by charging increasing sums to sample their stuff, and now virtually no one samples any more. Rza does, because it ain't hip hop if you don't sample; so what if the record is less profitable.

You gotta respect that.

Wu Tang is for the children.

Of today? Or the early 1990's? I'm curious what you mean by this.

Nothing makes me roll my eyes more than self entitled rappers who can't sing, compose music, play instruments, and no have next to zero real musical talent crying about losing an award to those who at times can do all of these...

This is so ignorant it's hilarious. It's implying that anyone can rap and anyone can produce.

In my past I worked on and even co produced numerous Indy rap albums... So maybe anyone can?... I know this I couldn't even begin to do that with other musical genres... Much more complex.

There are rap groups that have legit singers... Some even play instruments and compose real music, though rare... Most have neither, but if you're not doing those things don't interrupt the moment of those who do.

Still love Wu Tang. I can't listen to new rap, but Wu Tang, Cypress Hill, Tupac, Biggie, Goodie Mob, Snoop, Warren G, E-40, Celly Cel all day! Love the old stuff!

There's a lot of good new rap around. Definite chance of a second golden era coming up IMO.

Really? I gave up on this "second golden era" the second people thought Lil Wayne was good.

Agree 100%. Not only did I give up on rap, but also on my younger brother's entire generation. For the life of me, I cannot understand how people like that garbage.

I've also given up on rap.

Anyway this is my favorite WU-Tang song as a whole group.

This song doesn't have the whole group, but probably is my favorite song with WU-Tang members.

I can't stand Drake, actually it's not so much him, just that people buy in to his fake image.
He's not hood, he's never lived in a hood, probobly never even been to a hood. He's the son of an upper middle class Canadian Jewish man and was an actor on Degrassi, a Canadian equivelent of Saved By The Bell. Maybe he decided to be gangster when he became a man at his bar mitzva.
