I think you're spot on. Each recruit is handled differently based on what they want. Holley wants it limited while Elam enjoys the metric crap ton of mail. Both are recruited to their desires, and it puts us in a decent spot for both.

Also, I realize Elam's kind of a longshot, and Holley still an only slightly shorter one. But damn it'd be nice to see them and Jay Hayes lining up on the front three in a couple of years.

Per TV, there's already been multiple conversation between Matt and staff since the pot of gold was delivered. They believe its a top 2 of ND and Bama but we have to get Matt back to campus with his mother before they'd consider us to have a real shot at getting him. Bama remains current pick.

Not sure. Nothing is set at this time but Matt said anything can happen. I believe he already has a return trip scheduled to Bama. Personally, I think we should be making new offers. Kammy Delp and Marcus Griffin are two I like

It's amazing how a bunch of useless mail can impact a recruit. Whatever I guess, recruiting is a weird pseudo-science. A guy I coached with was getting recruited and got a call at 5:00am from Army. Confused as to why they'd call so early, they said "Son this is what time we get up here at West Point. We wants men who embrace this schedule!" He was very simple, "Yeah, that's not me.. Goodbye." It's certainly an efficient way to go about things by Army. He went on to play for Nick Saban at Toledo, those are certainly interesting stories on a whole 'nother level. haha

He has been working on a potential visit to Bama in January so it will be curious to see if he finalizes a visit date after said scheduled commit date.

I don't think all that mail is valuable without context. I've never heard of ND doing that for any recruit. Maybe they have, but don't think it was ever publicized. I bet it makes Elam feel very special and wanted.
