He already did. To sum it up if Kelly can keep the knuckle heads in line (ie not knocking people up, smoking weed on campus and cheating on tests) while still winning, admissions might give more of the knuckle head prone kids Kelly wants a chance. I feel like Nancy Drew.

I don't see how this is a new angle. This just makes it possible for him to be admitted, if he does choose to commit to ND. It doesn't help us convince him to commit in the first place. My understanding is that ND has some new way of persuading him to commit. TP feel free to clarify anytime.

If I'm not mistake, I thought TP said the "new angle" was something different than the admissions discussion. I took it to mean a new angle in Bo's recruitment.

But I'm probably mistaken.

Sure it does. He can take a foreign language online or something and admissions might accept it. You know make it easier for kids who didn't dot the I's and cross the T's.

Sorry but I don't follow you.

How does ensuring a recruit can be admitted academically persuade that recruit to actually commit?

Because he can be admitted. That kind of answers itself doesn't it?

Maybe you're not looking at this from the right angle?

I'm looking at it from the "get vbucks from overly-excited fans who want vague TP news to be a confirmation of their greatest wishes" angle.

I don't think we are on the same page.

BK: We need to work out some academic issues before you can enroll, if you commit.
Bo: OK, but I prefer Bama right now either way.
BK: We worked out those academic issues.
Bo: Good to know. I still prefer Bama right now.

Your reasoning doesn't change the reality that Bo prefers Bama.

Playing time, playing offense/defense, etc. change his perception. Not whether he can be admitted.

I don't understand the cryptic hints at inside information.

You know almost everyone on here follows recruiting, so when you say 'there's a new angle' ND is using, meaning they have a new recruiting pitch for BO (playing time, recruiting a younger brother, BO discovered a major at ND, etc.), tell us.

Or, if you cannot share for God knows what reason, keep it to yourself. There's nothing wrong with that.

But nothing is more annoying than the 'I'm not sharing, but just wanted you to know I know something you don't know' posts.

dont listen to him TP...he's off his posting meds again.

cmon keunja wtf, man? you've been here long enough to know TP gets us some great insight and info.

To be fair, Lax cleaned up a post earlier today by IF33 for the same reason kuehnja gave.

Anyway, I'm with greyhammer and T-Town. Enjoy your Nattys, Bo. Tell Saban I said "sup."

What gives TP the right to have a life outside of Notre Dame football? The nerve of some people .....

Fun time is over. Gave it enough time for most to see, but let's get back on to discussion as opposed to arguing.

Don't need to see TP get harassed and Kuehnja get picked on anymore. I see it too often already.

"New Angle" = Florida commit and Tuscaloosa native C'yontai Lewis

247 had a update about a week ago saying something about him I think. C'yontai is Bo's cousin.

This is just me speculating but IMO it makes the most sense.

Don't be so obtuse.

Bo is supposed to be a firm commit to Uncle Nick, but how many times have we seen firm commits flip? Reports say he says what the school wants to hear, so if that's the case he may really be in play and not as committed as suspected. I have to believe that part of the new angle TP mentions is the rumor mill of Saban taking his show to Austin. I'm hearing from too many reports at the moment to think this is just speculation. Whether Saban leaves or not, I think there is some merit to the reports that he will at least listen to Texas. If that's the case, BK is using the same tactics every other coach used against him earlier this year.

That would be the angle IMO. Makes more sense.

So what's the angle? That ND now has a better chance at Bo because an additional kid who is committed elsewhere is his cousin?

He's saying we're going to flip his cousin, then flip Bo.

Unless I'm completely misunderstanding him.

Yup. That's what we are going to try to do IMO.

Yeah, I get that. I was, admittedly, being sort of a smart@ss.

I still think it's tougher, regardless of familial relations, to flip 2 kids committed elsewhere than 1. If playing with his cousin is so important to Bo, then wouldn't Florida seem like a more logical/geographic/academic destination?

And his cousin currently doesn't qualify academically (or acamademically as they say at Auburn) and BK is angling to get some kids admitted that otherwise wouldn't. This gets done and Bo feels good about BK and ND. It's as simple as that.

If all that happened and BK got Bo to flip, I would probably join JimmieMac in his naked lap.
