This cannot be looking good for Drue and Purdue. He must realize that he does not have much to look forward to if he went to Purdue. This is a slaughter.

No matter how bad Purdue is getting beat, Drue is not going to switch his commitment because Purdue lost to #4 Ohio State.

I'm still not sold on him flipping simply because he could go to Purdue and play right away. I would actually be surprised if he ends up committing to ND

I doubt one game will decide the fate of Dru's future. Regardless I think he pops for ND this week.

I know we're missing Big Lou today and guys like Grace, so the middle was weaker...but we really need some guys that can play in the middle of this defense and soon. We're struggling there depth wise, Navy didn't seem to have problems running up the middle, at least when Kona went out. Lou and Kona will be gone next year though, as will Carlo and Fox. At least Grace will be back, but without that NT or another suitable ILB, it's looking more and more like a 4-3 defense out of necessity.

Imagine that his decision will come even later. As much as we need Inside linebackers it seems like this is going ore Purdue's way.

I'm pretty "meh" on this kid to be honest. I think his spot in this class could be better used elsewhere, though we are starting to get kinda desperate for LBs.

And anyone who has been committed to Purdue for this long has some issues.

I wanted to use sarcasm font but I can't decide if I'm being sarcastic or not.

Ugh, do not care. This kid is stringing us along just to see how many posts he can get in his IE thread.

I may have to agree, I thought he said a decision was going to come after the Purdue visit? Oh well, Indiana sectionals have already started, his last game could be any week.

I'm 'meh' on him at safety, for ND. Not at LB for basically anyone in the country. I think, and I've shared this theory before, that he knows Purdue will let him play safety. At ND he knows he's going to go to LB. He is still weighing this because he's still a kid and he doesn't know what to do. Nothing wrong with that either. Want him to be sure and I'm sure he wants the same.

I think the kid can be a difference maker at LB. And just a damn good player at safety (even though there is nothing wrong with this).

Plus you can't take away what Hazell means in this situation. From everything I know and have seen guy is a great coach and even better recruiter.

Original post on my "Drue Theory"

I have a theory that Drue already knows the staff wants him as a middle backer and he is seriously weighing his options with Purdue because of it. Probably has the notion of I can go be a star a Purdue at the position where 17/18 year old me me wants to play or try to be a champion at ND playing a position that he, IMHO, has much more upside in.

That's a big and different change for him. Ultimately I think the kid will be successful regardless and I think Hazell is a great coach/recruiter.

But I agree Hendrix and JuJu are better for the back end and taking three Ss is not really an option this year, not with the other guys on the board at positions of need/want.
