I'm really glad I'm living in a dorm built in 1996, with all the lights on, surrounded by other people right now.

Also I've completely abandoned the notes I should be studying for my exam tomorrow.

Keough I hope

W.T.F....did I just watch?!

Is it odd that I'm going to the Navy game this weekend, and just 10 minutes ago the buddy that's going with me invited me to go watch Midget Boxing in Chicago Friday night? I feel like theres some sort of Midget conspiracy going on right now.

The movie is called "Freaks" and it's a classic. A horror movie where the "monsters" are more human than the people.

Ghosts can kill you anywhere. A crowded dorm won't save you

I read that Penpal series, and the best/worst part was the ending to Boxes. That stuff was messed up.

Yuuuuuuuuuuuuuupp! The moment I read the last line in that story I closed my laptop, said "f*ck this sh*t" and went outside for awhile.

I'm at work and tried to stop after the first two so I could read them at home in the dark and really freak myself out, but I couldn't help but click the links for the later parts. I ruined it for myself by reading them in my well-lit office with other workers around haha.

i dont know if this is actually scary but creepy in a confused did that just happen kind of way.

my house, my grand parent's house, my elementary school were all on the same block of the church we attended so it was very common to be on church property outside of your typical church goings.

was walking from grandma's home and as i am going down the church sidewalk i see a very elderly lady (def in her 70's minimum) is in heels doing her best attempt to jog (was actually prety good for her age + heels).

it caught me off guard but she could be late to something then she stops right in front of me and is frantic. asks me to say a prayer for her which totally threw me for a loop as i was probably 10. so i said what i still feelwas the best prayer i have ever said outloud and then she takes off.

i was so stunned that i just watched her run for another 2+ blocks until she turned out of vision.

never saw her again

My mom and I lived with my grandparents when I was younger, so there were quite a few nights where I would have most of the house to myself if my mom was out late with her friends.

One night, I woke up for no reason. I looked out in the hallway and thought I saw something go around the corner in the hallway, so I decided to see if my mom was home yet.

I always fell asleep watching Taxi marathons on Nick-at-Nite (even though I didn't understand the show lol) so there was enough light in the hallway for me to look around.

As I turned my head to the right to look toward the bathroom, a shadow shot along the wall going the other way, to my left. For some reason I didn't feel scared at all even though I knew this was not a normal thing. So I followed it. It when along the wall until the wall ended at the dining room. Past the dining room was the kitchen. The shadow picked back up on the kitchen wall. I went through the kitchen and turned the corner to where the basement door was just in time to catch it as it disappeared through the open doorway.

At that point I said, "nope, I'm out" and went to get my grandma. To this day, she swears she must have been talking in her sleep, but I was traumatized for years.

I said something like, "grandma, something was in the hallway on the wall and ran to the basement."

She said, "don't worry, they like to come up and dance sometimes. He just ran back down when you saw him. Go back to bed."

My Grandparent's house was built on an old farm which had a cemetery on the property and they've lived there for almost 50 years now and needless to say there have been some crazy s*it that has happened there over the years.

While my Mother still lived there she and her sister shared a room and in the room there was access to the attic through the closet which only had a piece of plywood covering the opening. My Mother and her sister were young so like every young kid they would check their closet for "monsters" every night and eventually they began to notice that the piece of plywood would be shifted a little bit each night and every night they would call my grandfather and he would move the piece of wood back over the opening. After about a month of doing this my grandfather got annoyed and took 6 nails and nailed the plywood to the frame in the opening to keep it shut. The next morning my mother woke up and all 6 nails were on her dresser bent in half and the piece of plywood was shifted over off of the opening...

My mother's oldest sister slept in the room opposite of hers. She always thought my mother was full of it. But one night when she came home late she went up to her room and prepared to go to sleep. She was in the middle of changing into her pj's when a bright light shined through her window, so naturally she thought there was a peeping tom or something like that she ran down into my grandparents room and got my grandfather up and he, wielding his shotgun, ran down into her room only to find nothing but the window cracked just a little bit. He went on to search the entire house thinking maybe somebody came in, while my grandmother called the police. The police arrived and found nothing. The funny thing is that the house is somewhat large and the room was near the highest point of the house which is roughly 35 ft off the ground so there is no way anyone could have climbed up by the window w/o a ladder. The police had a squad car stay outside the house that night just to be sure there was no funny business. My aunt, obviously scared sh*tless, attempted to try to go back to sleep only to be woken up by the same bright light an hour later. Same thing happened, my grandfather came in and checked everything out, the police officers who were outside came and checked everything out only to find the window slightly cracked open again. At this point everyone is starting to think my aunt is just drunk, crazy, or seeking attention. She still promises to this day that she was none of the above. At this point everyone is just pissed off and my aunt is still scared sh*tless, once more that night the same light came through the window. And at this point my aunt didn't want to make anyone more angry than they already were so she looked into the window and was nearly blinded by the light but she couldn't help but look right into the light until it eventually ascended into the sky at the snap of a finger. The next morning after a sleepless night my aunt woke up and got ready for school. She was the oldest and went to the middle school down the street by herself, so after my grandfather left for work and my grandmother took all the other kids to school she started to walk to school. She swares that the same light from the previous night followed her to school and this same pattern continued for 3-4 days until it suddenly stopped one night.

Years later when all my aunts and uncles were older and moved out my grandparents were still living in the same house with no one else but their dog. They followed the same routine every day, my grandfather would get up and go for a walk around the local pond with the dog and my grandmother would get up and make my grandfather breakfast. One day while my grandfather had just gotten back from his walk he just felt off, he said his hair was standing on end, he got really cold, and got the hot sweats but being my grandfather he just took a shower and thought nothing off it. After his shower he came down for breakfast and sat opposite of my grandmother at the table. My grandfather was reading the paper and eating his breakfast, when he glanced up he saw a young looking man decked out in a plaid shirt, denim overalls, and a straw hat. Now my grandfather is a no-nonsense type of guy, he wouldn't make this up just to get attention. He described the guy as a young man with long blonde hair and a 5 o'clock shadow and a piece of straw sticking out of his mouth. Obviously he was in awe so he just stared at the man for a couple seconds, when he looked at my grandmother to try to get her attention he felt a cool breeze run past him and then when he looked where the man was standing there was nothing there. My grandparents kept quiet about the whole situation thinking that maybe my grandfather was sick and hallucinating or just getting old and crazy but randomly about a week or two later my cousin who lived locally had gone to the local library and found a book of records from when the town was first established and of course when they looked up the property that their house was on it was accompanied by a picture that perfectly described the man that my grandfather had seen earlier.

My grandparents run a foundation where they bring down clothes, food, toys for the kids, and just about anything else you could think of to the less fortunate people on the west side of Chicago. So naturally they take donations from anyone willing to help and they have people drop them off at their house. One day when they had a couple family members over to watch a football game they had received a ouija board. My grandparents were completely opposed to using it because of the nature of the house but after a day of drinking and pleading from my mother and her sister they finally caved in and decided that they would give it a whirl. They brought it up to my grandparents room and everyone sat on their bed and began to use the board. At first they believed that they made contact with my grandmother's mother but after that seemed to fade they believed to encounter a very hostile, angry being. The contents of what this being "said" to them I do not know but it was enough to make everyone who used cut up the board into many pieces, burn it in the fireplace, and then go to church together. And the very next day when grandparents came back from running errands there was no donations besides one ouija board sitting on their front step...

As I got older I started to spend more time at my grandparents house. One day while my grandfather was out of town and my grandmother who could no longer drive asked if my mother could help her go Christmas shopping. My mother went on to load me and my sister into the car and picked up an older cousin so she could watch us at my grandparents house while my mother and grandmother went shopping. We got to the house and they left, everything seemed normal and we played and watched TV for an hour until we decided to make something to eat. My grandparents kept a lot of their snacks and soda in the basement, creepiest part of the house of course, so me, my sister, and my cousin accompanied with my grandparent's dog went down to the basement to get some food. Before we went downstairs we decided it would be a good idea to open the door as wide as possible and wedge it open with a shoe, just to be safe. While we were down in the basement we found some scrapbooks of when my grandfather played football at Notre Dame and my grandmother was a student at Holy Cross. We spent 15-20 minutes looking at these scrapbooks and then as we started to go back upstairs we noticed that the door from the basement to upstairs was closed and locked. At this time we were all young enough to not have cell phones yet so we went back downstairs and decided to wait for my mother and grandmother to come home. An hour had passed and there was no sign of them coming home. We tried to find another way out, we decided our only way out was through a basement window well. My cousin and I opened the window and began to help my sister out but she was young and scared so she decided she would wait for us to unlock the door and stay in the basement with the dog. My cousin and I crawled out of the basement window well. The front door was locked, how we had left it, and had to go around back to get in and let my sister out of the basement. The shoe was exactly where we put it to try to wedge the door shut but the door was obviously closed and locked. We quickly let my sister out and got out of the house, we went to the neighbor's house who said that they hadn't seen anyone go into the house or come out of the house. We called my uncle and he came over and made sure that there was no one in the house. Everything seemed normal except that the TV in my grandparents room was on and my grandfather's dresser drawers were all wide open.

Sorry to write a novel but I can't sleep and thought that these were some pretty creepy stories!

Truly amazing that horror stories like alien abductions only happen to white people.
