- Described his visit with, "it was amazing".

-Said that they have the most die-hard, loyal fans he has ever seen.

-Best part was seeing how the team is just one big family.

-Devin Butler was his host.

-The staff pretty much told him that depending on what a couple other recruits do, they want him to be in this class.

-Has taken 3 OVs (ND, OSU, and Nebraska). Will take all 5. He is looking around and weighing his best options.

-Notre Dame was high on his list before the visit, they especially are after the visit. Said they give him something to think about.

If Lazard and Quick take their talents somewhere else, I think Brown is Irish

Does anyone else prefer Brown to Lazard?

I do. Not as a WR, but as a prospect I like that Brown could also play DB. Lazard is an elite WR prospect IMO. I think he'd be a top 30 style player if committed to a school like USC or Alabama early.

Meh, I'm just not sold that Lazard is elite, yet. He's obviously a very good player, but I think Dallis Todd is a better prospect for what they both bring to the table.

I hadn't considered Brown on D. Is the staff considering that?

No idea if staff is considering it but if you watch his film I have no doubt that he has the build/ball skills/speed/hips/fluidity to play DB. I think I might have seen it mentioned by analysts too somewhere.

Wiltfong saying he could be a WR or DB. We are high on him but theres quite a few names left on the board. It will be interesting to see how things play out. If Brown gets the call saying he has a commitable offer we'd be in good shape.

Doesn't have the green light to commit right now but if/when he gets that ND would be the team to beat. He's a true ND kid (RKG?). Mentioned that he could play CB too

Wouldn't be the worst profile to take late in the cycle...

Notre Dame could, lord willing, absolutely kill it in Los Angeles this year.

Too bad he can't play ILB or DT. Numbers are good at WR and DB, and we're still in the hunt for both Quick and Smith. I doubt he gets the greenlight.

If Quick goes to OU and Lazard stays at Iowa state I could definitely see him getting the green light. The time tables are not beneficial to either of these people

I hate the idea of not letting certain kids commit. Obviously everyone can't be allowed and the coaches have to play the numbers game at ND. But this is perfect scenario where they should give him the green light. 1) McKenzie may not qualify 2) others may not qualify 3) others may not commit 4) transfers will inevitably happen. I'm sick of ND recruiting these stud classes to only sit less than 85 come fall due to attrition. It's time to take a gamble. Ride the wave of last year's success and take a few extras this year. It always works itself out.

Agreed. At worst, there are some WRs on the current squad who could get moved to (or back to) defense at this point.

This is the situation where we typically get burned and then 2 years late bemoan the fact that we screwed it up.

McKenzie is a coin flip at best to qualify, Quick is a coin flip to commit, Lazard is a long shot, Smith is... well... I'm not optimistic plus he's primarily best suited for safety IMO.

We have Holmes + Brent + Watkins right now. What is the harm in adding a legit 4:s: ATH who can play on either side of the ball? If it's me I take him and figure out numbers later.

Right on. I will say they have made some good calls with WRs lately, though.

To be clear, I'd love to have him. We're bound, as always, to be well under the scholarship cap heading into 2014. Turning down 4:s: ATHs due to "numbers" is always frustrating.

Getting mauled tonight by JuJu and the Poly boys with Coach Elliott reportedly there. Brown has 2 catches for 12 yds and Poly is up 55-11.

Justin Hopkins just predicted a flip to.... Nebraska.

Seems like this kid will end up anywhere but Washington.

I don't understand why we're not giving him the green light to commit. We're not going to fill up at signing day (again).

Juju is trending away
Mama has been heavily trending away since he left campus
Elam is gone
Lazard is all but guaranteed to stay with ISU
Quick has some academic issues (I believe) and is leaning towards OU
Luatua keeps pushing his timeline back (and that concerns me)

I hope he becomes a "take" soon before he gets comfortable with another school.
