Well they come out today. Will we be in the top 25? After Alabama and Oregon, how does the rest of the list fill in, in your opinion?

I'm guessing us at 22.

I think IF we make the top 25 we will be 24-25. Unless the computers really like us. I don't think the human voters will put us in the top 25, but you never know. Without the human voters on our side the computer will really have to help us out to make the top 25. It is starting to matter now though. We have to pass NIU, as they are the competition for one of the at-large BCS bids. BCS has to be the goal now.

Well I saw that 4 top ten teams lost yesterday and like 8 ranked teams lost so we might actually move up into the polls. We were in the "others receiving votes" category last week and teams like Florida and Georgia should be out of the polls after their losses.

ND most likely won't be in the 25. At least not this week. Heck Michigan might not even be in it.

Well realistically we won't jump any of the top 10 teams that lost. LSU is garbage, but we won't pass them. Then you have teams like UCF that may pass us up. I can see us passing up Washinton, Florida, and maybe Georgia (though we should pass them too). UCF will probably jump us, Ole Miss may come close (Don't want to underestimate the SEC bias). ASU had a good win, but should not pas us. So maybe we move up 2-3 spots via others loses, and UCF passes us netting 1-2 spots.

Maybe we will jump a Michigan or another team that was had a bye or played poorly but won. Netting us 2-3 spots total from last week's AP Poll, where we were 29th. And hopefully the computer gives us 2-3 spots. So I could see 25th, but probably not much higher than 24th. And probably still in the 26/27 spot [depending on how the computers like us].

Computers will likely have us somewhere in the top 25. Human polls will have us somewhere 28-30. Result? probably outside the top 25.

Behind Arizona St?

Yeah, apparently we are behind Arizona State according to the poll  I guess a win over the team ahead of you with similar records means nothing. Thats the way the poll has always gone though, and we haven't done ourselves any favors as far as style points.

So we shock the world when we beat Stanford.

Temple is probably killing our SOS with the computers.

At least Temple's win is over a FBS school, Army.

PU's only win is Ind St.

AF's only win is over Colgate.

Sagarin had ND's SOS at #19. A #10 SOS wasn't shooting ND up the polls.

True. We have a bunch of bottom feeders on our schedule this year. Top heavy, though. I didn't realize Air Force was that bad.

There's a chance we could win the next 2 or 3 games, be 7/8-2, and still be unranked just because how much Air Force, Navy, and Pitt suck.

If we win the next two games, there's no way we're unranked. Other teams will lose.

If we win out we will make a BCS. Will be ranked somewhere in the 17-21 range going into the Stanford game. A win there and we end up ranked 12-14.

LOL, we could lose to one of them. I don't think we will, but you know how our luck goes and if you saw the last part of the game last night?

Prepare like they're the best team in the world.

We won this week against a team that's better than any of those 3, a bunch of teams lost, and pretty much stayed in the same spot.

That was one game and we went from receiving 39 votes to 82. That's from barely winning a game against an unranked opponent. If we repeated that, we'd be ranked.

If we win the next two games by any amount and are still not in the top 25, I will leave the site forever, and you will receive all of my vbucks, lol. It's not going to happen.

Can Mizzou leapfrog OSU if they beat South Carolina this week? That would be awesome.
