What is the "uniform surprise"?

I did look that up and the new ones are definitely better.

About them making the blue jersey pop, I actually like how they look with the away jerseys best. They're still mustardy when wet, but maybe there's nothing you can do about that.

Re-watching the OU game, and does any else think we need to make a change on the pants?

The new helmet look awesome, but in comparison it makes the pants look mustardy, especially once they're sweated through.

I wouldn't mind them jazzing them up a bit. I think a lighter color yellow or an attempt at gold might look better.

So in re-watching the OU game, of all things, the pants stuck out to you. The ****ing pants? There is something odd and a bit creepy that the tight pants our guys wear were 'sticking out to you'

That and Grace's octopus tentacled arms.

I also don't understand why QBs do not wear the chin straps with the hard, protective plastic. I feel like that leather only strap is just asking to get your chin crushed.

Something I've noticed about these Adidas jerseys while watching the UTenn game is that the design on the upper chest and shoulders looks to be functional, not just design oriented. If you look at the skill players, the white isn't so prominent vs the lineman who look like there is more white than gray on the shoulders. This makes me think that the design is some sort of elastic material to make them form fitting along the pads.

I liked this year's Shamrock jersey, but they looked better in the sneak peak video and photos than actually on the players.
Exact opposite of last season.

Well, I gotta say (slippin' into my NDNation reptilian Larry King skin) that I'm glad that these Shamrock Series uniforms are a once a year deal.

White on white with gratuitous shamrocks here and there was an abomination, not to mention painful to view.

I didn't order a jersey, but did order the pullover the coaches were wearing. Just in white not green.

Pink is the color in support of breast cancer research. I applaud their decision and admire all the players who support the cause, whether they know or appreciate it or not.

October is breast cancer awareness month.

I get the gesture but who isn't "aware" of breast cancer? Wouldn't the uniform money be better spent as a donation to cancer research?

The issue is, not that I know the details, are there monies being donated to the cause? If not, it's a crass publicity stunt.

While I'm generally a cynic, I'm generally an optimist in regard to matters such as these. I fully realize that there's a great deal of PR and deceptive perception involved, but I like to think that there's at least a modicum of good intention involved.

Something I know has probably been discussed but I don't know where is the fact ND wore white on white. Something I have never seen.

I just wonder if this now opens the door for more experimentation with uniform combinations a la Oregon.

Although not a popular topic among many fans but I could picture ND coming out for a home night game wearing all black. I personally think that would be slick. Kind of how the basketball team does it.

This would be a stretch considering ND has zero black in their color scheme but none the less a possibility.

Or even gold on gold, which I know has been worn but I think it could look better than it did the last time.

Or even a bigger stretch green on green with gold stripe pants.

Sorry was just sitting around with my daughter, as my wife does some running around, and I was showing her ND stuff and different thoughts were running through my head.
