I'm already resigned that our D will give up points next week. We need to score. That's the only way we'll beat Oklahoma. It's so painful to watch Rees "managed" the game. We need a qb who'll win games for us.

We need improved route running and ball skills from our WR's and better run blocking far before we need improved QB play. Daniels played the worst game of his career today, and that wasn't Tommy's fault. Rees' biggest mistake today was the continued passing to Daniels.

I'll take a win any day of the week. Do some of you guys have short term memory loss? Do any of the hand wringing whiners on this thread remember BYU last year? Michigan? Pitt? Purdue? You guys act like we went from a combo of Oregon and Alabama to Elon. We're playing about the same as we were last year.

Gameday threads seriously bring out the whiners and annoying trolls. The insults and petty child like bickering is annoying. Obviously after a game like that it's not all sunshine and rainbows but for the love of the gods please grow up and man up. This board is weak and has little to no heart. If you can't handle posting on the GDT then just don't.

I think it was more that alot thought that our D would still be stout and our O would be much better. It wasn't that they didn't remember last year, its that they expected improvement this year.

Good win. Michigan State has a great defense. For this season, I'm kind of thinking let's just roll with this team and see where it goes. Maybe we are one of those teams that just wins close games. We do what we have to at the end to win games and not look pretty, but I'm down with that. Defense looked to have improved from last week. 3-1 baby!!!!

Tommy had a rough day, but at least his misses were high and away from the defenders. He protected the football.

Michigan State has a good defense. We struggled, but in large part to their D. Tommy was off, but at least no INT. Good to see Robinson make some plays out there. He's going to be a huge part of the future of this team.

fellas, we're just going to have accept the fact that our offense really isn't very good...we have pretty good playmaker's on the perimeter and OL, but the QB and RB position will not allow us to do the things necessary to make us a good offense. I was just glad to see our defense play well for the most part against an all be it terrible offense in itself.

Just got hope we continue to get better and do enough offensively to not put our defense in bad positions by getting some first downs and not turning the ball over

This. Better run blocking and better route running...receivers gotta get separation. I liked what I saw from Robinson. TEs need to be worked in...LBs can't cover them. I'll take the win. And I'd rather have our QB than what MSU threw at us today.

You guys are killing me with the bashing of our offense and praising of our defense. You do realize that MSU has one of the worst offenses in the country right?

Our biggest problem is that out defense is horrid.

Our D played well, but Connor Cook and Maxwell are pure garbage. My roommate last year played with Cook at Walsh-Jesuit and said that he was beyond awful and the only reason he got a scholarship was because of his size and athleticism. I am mad at the play calling more than the offense. But our Defense did win us the game today.
