Then why would he sign with Iowa State?

Other then living right outside of Ames, and already being an ISU legacy, Paul Rhoades has everyone duped into thinking he can bring them to a championship level. Now granted, ISU fan knows their place in the pecking order, but they love a guy who wants to be there, and the major upsets (by their standard) is worth the fact that they haven't one more than 4 Big 12 games since he's taken over.

We need this kid. Him and Quick would be the elite WR we need. Yes we have brought in nice pieces but I think those two can be special.

He never shut down recruiting. This has been in the works for awhile, he just now decided on a date. He told the coaches during his summer visit that he'd at least come back for an official.

Brent can definitely be elite and looks like another Davaris Daniels

Lazard would be a better prospect of Corey Robinson

He's probably 95% ISU at this point. It's unlikely he flips, he's probably visiting because he'll never see the kind of ND/USC atmosphere at ISU.

Did you hear or read that somewhere? Because I wouldn't go that far. And if he is only coming for atmosphere why come for a visit in the summer?

He's not just going for the experience. He could take OVs to A&M, all the CA schools if he wanted to and that was his original plan but now his only OV during the season will be this game. I think we flip him. ISU is gonna win like 1 game this year

Our offense is gonna be so fricken good if a QB steps up. We are set at WR, RB,TE, and OL for the foreseeable future.

For the gameday atmosphere. Can't get that in the summer ;) I haven't read 95%, but that's my best guesstimation on his commit level to ISU based on what I've seen and heard. I'm not as in the know as someone like STL though, so don't taze me bro if he ends up flipping. I'd be happy if he did.

I had my doubts over the summer but recently I've been feeling much better about this. With our diminishing WR board, he's a lot more important than I previously thought.

He'll never see game day atmosphere in Ames like he will in South Bend. I also have a gut feeling he flips.

Have you attended a game in Ames? I have been to a few Iowa State games, and the atmosphere is very good. Jack Trice Stadium has been lit up from time to time in big games that they have had.

It is very much a student driven atmosphere, which leads to a frenzy type feel at times. It is never quite the golf course feel, as I have heard people quibble about Notre Dame Stadium.

Also, I know that the night life in Ames is very good, with parties almost every night of the week. Like I said, the campus is very student driven, and at night it livens up quite a bit.

I guess it comes down to what type of college he wants to go to, because they are in such a different spectrum in regards to what they bring to the table.

He's coming for the night game though. People should be more drunk and louder...

Wait have you been to ISU and not ND? It sounds like you're speaking from experience on ISU and what you heard about ND. I have never been to ISU but I highly doubt a Gameday at ISU can come even close to a Gameday at Notre Dame

I almost got thrown out of Trice in college for doing pushups. Ushers were all over that sh!t. If you want to leave and tailgate at halftime more power to you though.

Bit difference would be to go to the crappiest game for each. ND would be sold out and way more exciting than Iowa State versus whatever division three school they may or may not beat. Then compare the road atmosphere. ND draws EVERYWHERE. Iowa State is usually one of the lesser games on a schedule and thus lower attendance at away stadiums.

You play in sold out stadiums every week at ND and have fans show up on the road. Yeah, Trice gets rocking and nothing more fun than throwing goal posts in a lake, but that is one or two games per year. The rest of the season is a PGA event compared to run of the mill weeks for the Irish.

I would agree with you here. I was basically just meaning that Trice can get pretty crazy at times, and has a really good atmosphere when it does. Not to mention the Iowa vs Iowa State game every year is pretty big.

I obviously feel like Notre Dame is a better place to be and the atmosphere is great, I just didn't think people should be selling Iowa State short. They are not a perennial powerhouse by any stretch of the imagination, but they do bring something to the table, especially for a hometown guy.

As of right now the only official he has scheduled is to ND. Outside of something like a coaching change it seems its going to be very tough to flip Allen. However, if one school has an opportunity to do so its ND. They also add that CAL and Oregon have caught his attention.
