Any possibility the base offense will have two TE's on the field instead of having a slot? I don't think any slot is ready to start, and ND is loaded with TE's.
I'd bet a sizable amount that we'll base out of 12 personnel this season. Welch, Niklas and Koyack have a lot more experience than our likely Z WRs.
I predict Ben will be the most improved player this year.
would you say he has potential?

It does seem a tad premature to write off 2013 just one game in... and Ben supplied us with the most awkward moment in IKON gameday video history. That counts for something.
background on this? i dont remember!![]()
Before they cut to the ICON video intro, they show the three big tight ends on the bench after Niklas scored. Niklas lets out an enthusiastic holler of happiness looking in the direction of the TEs next to him, and they look pissed, disinterested, frustrated, bored, depressed, out of it, joyful on the inside, call it what you will...

wow, hatred for Troy right there. ben looks like he wants to cry.
My guess is that either (1) Niklas was still celebrating way after the fact and Ben had moved on, (2) Niklas got exciting when the camera was in his face, or (3) Ben was not thinking about the camera.
Either way, awkward.

That's what I was thinking also.Yeah, I don't see the awkwardness. It looked to me like the celebration had already happened, but Troy locked eyes with someone way down the sideline or in the stands who was congratulating him and with whom he hadn't had an opportunity to celebrate yet. I mean, we saw the celebratory moment ... there was a big crowd of people congratulating Troy as he came to the sideline. Presumably Ben was in that crowd, and they returned to the bench only after the celebration was over, but Troy caught someone else's eye only then and did a little more freelance celebrating.
Mountains out of molehills..... Niklas obviously turns toward someone that he hadn't seen earlier and waves the ball. Some of the folks here at IE have negativity oozing from their pores... don't get that lifestyle.

You are now swinging this the other way! I thought it was funny, especially in light of Troy's shirtless rant at the pep rally, his tossing the sled over, etc. Troy seems to create a good number of meathead-moments where he travels off into his own world.
The IKON prodcution provided 15 seconds of Troy scoring, Troy high-fiving on his way to the bench, and then Troy celebrating on the bench next to a kid, who looked generally miserable. They could have chosen anything, but they put that in there. It came off in the film as really awkward and funny, I thought.
