And we ate EJ Manuel alive for the first half of the bowl game.
And we quit blitzing the second half and lost.........still pisses me off!!!!!

I thought he played really well for his first ever start. Though we didn't run to much to the right. But, why would we if we have Martin and Watt on the left though? lol
Word I hear that. No one is talking about him, I just wanted to give him some recognition and love.Sherm doggie dog, couldn't this go in the 'post game observations' thread?
I may get banned for this, but I hope people don't get in the habbit of bumping every thread of every player that made a play of every game, all year long.

No worries, I'm just a damn nazi about player's threads.
And about Stanley - totally agree. We didn't mention him during the game, which is ALWAYS good for OL.

On the mano-a-mano stuff we showed plenty of power against Williams; what didn't always happen was "slide and transfer" type blocking, and even more, blocking the "other guys". [USC loaded the box a lot.] I thought that almost all our guys showed that they could stone him at initial contact, and hold their blocks for a reasonable time in the one-on-ones.
That's true, but in the OL's defense, we were so one dimensional in the second half of that game it was ridiculous. I still can't believe we were able to pull that off lol.
No joke, I thought I blacked out that half because there was so little action I assumed I had forgotten something. Watched it sober as a judge the next day, same reaction. No idea how we came out on top.
Nevermind, must have been hungover.

Is he a junior or a redshirt sophomore?

Whenever I hear the word electrolytes, I always think of:
**Please Note I am in no way disparaging Mr. Stanley. The word just riggers my memory of this movie
According to his und.com profile, he appeared in two games his freshman year. He should be a RS sophomore.
i definitely remember him playing some snaps against Navy in Dublin
Yea, he's a "redshirt" sophomore. He played under the set percentage of snaps his freshman year and didn't play at all the last half of the year that year so her preserved his year of eligibility. Kind of like Greg Bryant last year.
I think its something along the lines of:
(1) serious injury
(2) played in less than 30% of the games
(3) those games were in the first half of the season.
But you still have to apply for a waiver.
