After my visit at Notre Dame, I felt as if it wasn't the right atmosphere to spend 4 years of my collegiate life. This was his statement the day before April Fool's Day and it got a lot of people upset. Personally I'm not a fan of this type of joke and it would **** me off if I was one of the commits. Maybe I just don't have a sense of humor, but most of the recruits talk about liking a school with a strong fan base. This is not the way to get that fan base on your side.

1) April Fool's Day joke about decomitting
2) Tweets a concern about not getting a scholarship letter
3) Talks about focusing on recruitment after his season

All of this does nothing but upset the fan base. In the end, I do not think he will be Irish.

Really hoping this kid is Irish but things just keep popping up for him that are not good. Hope Irish2155 is right and its false smoke.

I thought about opening up my recruitment a little and I asked his (HS coach) opinion. He said that Notre Dame is the best fit for me and my future on the field and with the academics they offer. That made me feel really good to have my coach and my family fully on board with me attending Notre Dame. I couldn't be more solid. I'm 100% with them."

Talks to Holley and Elam the most. Thinks we have a good shot at Holley but it is going to be hard for Elam to leave Kentucky.

lol, some of you need to lighten up a little, Hayes as a history of joking with people and if you want to blame anyone, blame us recruitniks for nitpicking everything a recruit says and does and put it all over the internet. Hayes is playing into that and he only gets one shot at it. Once he joins a school, this fun can no longer be had... plus, he is a high school student, jokes like this are an every day occurrence. I bet there is a ND fan at his school and he tells him he is decommitting every other day.

He wasn't joking when he said he was going to open his recruitment, he consulted his HS coach about it and then felt better about ND afterwords. I have no doubt he is solid but there was no joking going on

With the things that have happened the last couple of years, I think most of us are a little uncomfortable until they sign. Then again with Vanderdoesn't, even after they sign it's a little iffy.
