I hear what you're saying, but it seems like ND and UM left the door open at the time he listed those 4. As of Sunday or Monday, he said he was choosing between ND, Purdue, Indiana and Cincy. Then the next day he eliminated ND and just listed the other three. It sounds like UM informed him they weren't offering sometime between June 29 and Sunday, but ND didn't inform him until early this week. He did the right thing by not listing ND when they closed the door.

I'll be rooting for him. Seems like a great kid.

That's a safety with potential to play CB and a safety with potential to play OLB.

Maybe the staff is looking for tweeners due to uncertainty with the safety position. You've got Farley, Shumate, Redfield and Barratti all with at least three years of eligibility left; perhaps they are bolstering depth in case guys like Turner and Badger phase out? However, if Turner and Badger stay, tweeners like Tranquill and Hendrix can develop at other postitions.

I agree, although perhaps teh other schools told him it was alright if he visited--figuring that the best chance to land him was to get him in the fold.
