Seems to be a Arky lean with his teammate already committed there and Hendrix has been there twice in the last month.

Jovan Pruitt is the teammate committed to Arkansas. Will be coming out with a top 5 within the coming weeks.

will be basically starting recruiting from square one again with the ND offer. was about to announce a top 5 and commit around the start of school, but won't do that. Will likely official to ND. ESPN link

With the log jam at safety, is he being recruited as a safety? Or a corner back? I know Diaco likes those tall corners

I'd take Pruitt, Watkins, and Hendrix if they all wanted to come.

Did I miss something? Does Pruitt have an offer and looking to visit ND (with there being a possibility they flip him)? He's listed as OL...can he play DL?

Also, didn't the staff only want one corner and one safety this class? Are they slipping with JuJu? I've been holding out hope that JuJu and Nick were the DBs in this class, with Miciah being the ATH to play DB/WR.

Am I half right at least?

“An offer like that is going to make an impact in my decision. It’s going to make me think if that’s the place for me.”

Whichever school picks up Hendrix will get a big safety who likes to hit. The nation’s No. 25 safety, Hendrix is a transfer from Red Oak (Texas) High School, where he was an all-district defensive back.

Actually, Payton Hendrix is a transfer from Red Oak. He will play his first game with teammates Nic Watkins and Jovan Pruitt when the 2013 season starts. Another basketball player/athlete who sees his future in football. The Bishop Dunne transfer has done wonders for his recruitment.

The timing of the offer does seem a little strange. Are we losing somewhere else where we thought we had a shot?

We haven't offered too many DB/S's at this stage so I don't take this as reaching. More of the staff finding another guy that fits ND.

^ this and i have no knowledge of if he plays both sides if the ball currently but at his size and athleticism he could find a role at wr maybe too.

I like the offer. Lengthy, hard nosed, athletic safety? Yes, please.

Quincey Wilson is going to announce for Florida likely. This kid replaces him on the board. Watkins, Hendrix and JuJu would do nicely.

From the ISD article it sounds like they have been evaluating him for a while and wanted the Bishop Dunne's HC, who was at the Coaches Clinic and I guess have a good relationship with, blessing on if they should offer now that he has been with the team after he transferred.

Is Hendrix being recruited as a CB like Wilson?

Bishop Dunne's HC is a former DI DB himself and coaches the positions well, so having him give the thumbs up means a great deal.

According to TJ Wilson was always being recruited as a combo CB/S and I assume the same for Hendrix. Probably more of a safety with ability to drop down into coverage.

This is another kid, like mattrell mcgraw, where I don't understand why he is ranked so low.
