There has been a lot of talk of who Greg Bryant compares to and today on the II podcast this question was posed, what about other comparisons for the 2013 class? Some they addressed:

Greg Bryant - Theo Riddick 2.0
Steve Elmer - Sam Young
Jaylon Smith - Aldon Smith

I love Theo Riddick but I would hope Bryant has a more productive career than him.

I love the Jaylon Smith = Aldon Smith. Heck I just love Jaylon, so jacked to watch him play.

Are we talking about what we think they will end up being like or what they are like now? Because as we have talked about ad nasuem... Bryant is like a "supercharged Theo" right now, but that is compared to senior season Theo, not baby faced 17 year old Theo.

By the time Bryant is a senior, I don't think Theo comparisons will be very accurate.

To me Jaylon Smith is more of a Dion Jordan type of player. A LB who can cover a lot of ground because of his athleticism. Not a natural, strictly pass-rusher like Aldon Smith.

Greg Bryant - Trent Richardson

Jaylon Smith - Dion Jordan

Hunter Bivin - Barrett Jones

Max Redfield - Clinton Dix

Isaac Rochell - Tyson Jackson

Love this one. In terms of being versatile linemen, I definitely agree.

You are referring to just body types right?

Pretty much. As a Rams fan he came to mind. Looks more like a 4-3 end than a 3-4 end or OLB. His defensive film seemed pretty raw.

I'm guessing u disagree?

Hard to compare a Pro Bowler and All American to a 3:s: recruit...

but you shouldn't look at the stars!!!!

Jaylon Smith = Julian Peterson

Long, lean athletes. I remember watching a Niner game years ago where Peterson lined up at D-End, linebacker and safety. Jaylon has the same versatility and a higher ceiling, IMO.

Malik Zaire = Steve Young

Cerebral south paw with wheels (fingers crossed).

Doug Randolph = Lance Briggs

You had to one up and go with the Hall of Famer and the :s::s::s: I see you

Ha. Yeah. While I see your point, I'm a huge Deeb fan and think he is massively underrated whereas Matuska is right where he belongs, IMNSHO.
