Seems to have a quick release on his highlights. No South Carolina offer seems odd.

Doesn't seem to have a huge arm but he seems to get the ball out quick and accurately into small windows. But as always with highlights... we have no clue how bad his 'bad' is.

So he is nothing like Tommy Rees.

That was half a joke, but his release is very similar. Tommy's quick release is the only athletic quality that has allowed him to be a solid backup quality QB in the spread. Zaire's slow release really concerns me, although I believe it can be fixed/mitigated to a large degree.

I was joking too. Tommy's knowledge is his greatest asset. Long throwing motions are hard to erase completely but Kelly will quicken it up enough and make sure his release points are good. He will get the job done.

[Didn't notcie Zaire's release was that slow and long until I saw the practice video and compared to the others it was quite significant. But Kelly mentioned that they're already working on tightening it up. So with the staff aware of it and Zaire being a hard worker it will get fixed.]

Per an interview with Michael Bohlin at 247:

Mentioned us in his top group with Tech, FSU, Bama, and UGA. This was 9 days ago so before we had even offered. Mentioned that WVU and UNC aren't really in the mix anymore because they have taken commits already.

Also mentioned that he wants to make a return trip to Tech by the end of June and is looking to commit around the same time.

My VT buddy says that he is a big lean to them and has been for a while but the one thing that has been a concern for Hokie fans is what would happen if a school like ND, UM, or tOSU came knocking.

I'm not sure I could root for a QB with that sort of facial hair haha. It represents everything I hate about sports bars.

ISD's Sean Mele lists Park as our #2 QB target:

Like Allen, Park was offered after Kiel transferred early this spring. The Irish had been recruiting him for some time, but weren’t going to pull the trigger on a scholarship because there was no need to offer a quarterback in this class.

Known as more of a pocket passer due to his size and arm strength, Park is more athletic than he gets credit for and can extend plays with his feet. I watched him on film and talked to his high school coach at length and although I don’t think he can ever be a true dual-threat quarterback in college, he certainly has good enough footwork and speed to make a defense pay for not containing him.

I was really impressed with his arm strength. He has all the throws and can squeeze the ball into tight spaces or launch it 50 yards down the field. He also throws on the run really well. His mechanics are solid and seem to be a carbon-copy of each other from throw to throw.

Camping at ND on June 22nd per Tom Loy.

This could get interesting, alot of people expected him to decide soon. My favorite QB we have offered

Said the same thing a while back. I'd love to get him. His tape is awesome.

interesting how he's coming for camp...that's what makes me think he doesn't have a commitable offer

This is an example of why ND shouldn't/hasn't panicked and taken a project QB. Lots of time left and a lot of good prospects.

Interesting Tom Loy almost implied while most think he ends up at Virginia Tech that he would almost be settling for him to go there, pointing out that he reached out to FSU but they said they already have a QB. He also very much is interested in Alabama and Notre Dame.

I do not care for high school kids with facial hair. Especially the really over-designed goatees and beards. Not my cup of tea, and usually not my kind of dude.

I would advise against commenting on his facial features or looks in general.

I agree that VT is overrated. They are ALWAYS in the top-25 and sometimes in the top-10, but they never seem to beat anyone good. I'm sure you could go through their schedules and find a couple of quality wins, but without looking it up that is my perception. They always win 9, 10 or 11 games, depending on whether they play 3, 2 or 1 good team(s) in any given year.

Put it this way: if we got them in a BCS game, I would consider it a gift from God.

Michigan...

As far as Jacob Park, maybe it's that he's from SC, but really I think it's more what he brings to the table as a QB, he reminds me of a taller Everett. Not absurdly athletic, but enough to evade defenders in the pocket and scramble some, and a nice arm that can fit the ball in the tightest of spaces and throw across field.

Don't make me go through a lot of clean up guys.

Deleted a good chunk of the VT overrated talk.
