Per Rivals/247:

Got to see the social side of things and academic side was explained to him. Seeing them throw it around plus the depth chart piqued his interest. Will visit schools out West, in Florida, and LSU this summer but nothing is set in stone. Might visit ND again too. Wants to use all of his OVs

Rivals camp series top performer, staking his claim at being the top receiver in the country, really rangy but strong, very smooth in and out of breaks, can do everything as a receiver, will be a quarterback's favorite target. Also specifically said he was very professional in his approach, no jawing and showboating like they see in so many WR's. Recruitment is still wide open but was raving about his visit to N.D

The first couple sentences are made better by the last one.

RCS Analysis: Josh Malone - Rivals.com Video

RIVALS CAMP SERIES TOP WIDE RECEIVERS
1. WR JOSH MALONE, GALLATIN (TENN.) STATION CAMP
In a field loaded with defensive back talent, Malone looked dominant in one-on-ones. He's long and lean but surprisingly strong, allowing him to beat defenders at the line with strength and down the field with precise route-running and quickness. Malone is still wide-open in recruiting, but recently raved about a visit to Notre Dame.

If we could someone pull Malone I would be ecstatic. He is my #1 want at WR.

Couldn't rep without spreading it around, but he is the guy I want in this class too.

Is the film on OP all we have of him. I would like to see some new footage.

I am greedy. I want Malone and Dupre in this recruiting class. Get those guys to go along with Hood and the great O-Line and you are looking at a deadly offense.

I think Saeed is the best I've seen. The strength he runs with screams YAC.

This year's going to be interesting. We're in good shape with a lot of elite talent. The staff seems to have mastered their on-campus pitch.

This WR (and RB) class is very strong, Dupre, Quick, Blacknall, Thompson, Malone: all in play among others that may be a tier lower (Brent, Holmes) or are longshots

I think Johnnie Dixon, Speedy Noil and Artavis Scott (in that order) are elite too, although they are Slot guys.

Drake Harris, as much as I hate to admit it, is elite as well.

Yeah I was just mentioning the outside guys

Preaching to the choir on that one, Ive been saying Harris is the #1 WR this year even while he was committed to MSU (when the services were lower on him)

If we are picking which 3 receivers that we want that have interest in Notre Dame...Then here is my list:

JuJu Smith, Saeed and Quick.

This makes me really, really excited. I absolutely love Malone on tape ... my only slight concern was strength, since he's a spindly guy. If he is stronger than he looks, then he distances himself from the crowd as my top outside WR want.

And if he is still raving about ND ... man, come on staff, let's close on this one!

It's free. I'm not a Rivals subscriber and I was able to read it.

List of schools he is still considering:
Clemson, Florida State, Georgia, Louisville, North Carolina, Texas A&M, Tennessee, Virginia Tech, UCLA, Florida, Auburn, Notre Dame, Ohio State, and Kentucky

Plans to have a Top 5 by the start of his season and then take OVs to those schools.

Not mentioned by Barton Simmons as a team to keep an eye on for Malone. Instead mentioned Georgia as overtaking Tennessee and UCLA, FSU, and Vandy as others to watch.

I still think we stand a good chance for a OV

Every time you state Juju as #1 I'm going to rep you.

Edit: I can't rep you...have to spread it around.

Juju is my number one want for this class at WR!. In all seriousness though do you think we are going to have a hard time with WR until we get a few arms on board?

No. Golson will be back when these kids are freshman, plus Malik is on the team.

Love the kid as a talent but from some of the interviews that I've read he seems very "I or Me" driven. I would imagine that's not going to go over real well with the staff.
