Mine was rock....I had it ROK....took me until I was 27 until my dad told me it was ROCK.....the c is silent.

To be fair, my dad was a millionaire who abruptly told me he was going to retire. I was supposed to inherit my father's empire except that I goofed around my whole life and never took education seriously, which gave my father pause on handing the company over to me. So, I went thru sort of an academic challenge to prove my merits. I succeeded, but realized that I still wasn't prepared to handle the company, so I turned it over to my good friend Frank to run and I went to college and got my accounting degree.

In all seriousness, how is it possible there hasn't been an actual update on this situation? If it's been going on for longer than the past couple of weeks we've been talking about it, you would think EV would have by now just come out and said he's not coming to ND and is in the process of figuring out when he can sign up with someone else.

You would think he would want to clear up the speculation sooner rather than later. The timing just seems more and more odd with every day that passes. Matthew Thomas at least came out and said he wants out from FSU. It's strange that EV hasn't yet if that's in fact what he wants.

Or am I being naive / missing something?

He's 18 so what makes sense for him may not make sense to a more mature audience.

Although you think his parents would push him to do something. The bottom line is the kid is in high school, so wouldn't expect him to know what to do. I can see the kid being confused. As someone who has no idea what is going on I supsect he is getting bad advice somewhere rather it be his parents, or other advisors such as his high coach, guidence counselor, etc.

But yes the timing does seem weird, perhaps they are waiting for the appeal but you think the world would have gotten an update.
