The only way I'm going to get both will be if I have a big Christmas one year. Not counting on it! lol

Times are harder now than they have been for a few years.... But I've been saving for this for a ew months already.... I think I'll be good in a year or so to pull both.... Especially considering I have a Xbox, ps3, a wii, vita and a box full of games to trade in....

That's how I pulled off both this gen honestly.

These are shameful tactics by Microsoft. Shoving the kinect down our throats and forcing gamers to RENT the games. Nobody wanted all these flashy gimmicks and required online connection. Frankly, this is bullsh!t.

Frederick Douglass once said:
Power concedes nothing without a demand. It never did and it never will. Find out just what any people will quietly submit to and you have found out the exact measure of injustice and wrong which will be imposed upon them, and these will continue till they are resisted with either words or blows, or with both. The limits of tyrants are prescribed by the endurance of those whom they oppress.

To all real gamers out there, I implore you to take your hard earned money elsewhere to a gaming console that gives the community what it wants: great games without all the bullcrap fees. These anti-consumer, money grubbing tactics won't stop until we resist with our wallets. Buying this product will only embolden Microsoft's strategy to sell you what you already paid for. Don't let the other companies follow suit.

Ahhh the days of the PC heyday. Firing up Quake or any of your favorite knock offs. Checkin out the server list. Hittin up that server with 30/32 slots filled.. Let the carnage ensue.

I hate consoles with a passion that only burns as hot in the middle of the sun. The controllers suck and the multiplayer is even worse.

Thinking about making the switch to PC gaming and just building a 500 dollar pc that will boot straight into steam's big picture mode on my tv. 500 is probably what a new console will cost anyway and ill save a ton of money on steams crazy sales.

This is almost literally insane if Microsoft wants to implement this technology:

ExtremeTech reports that Microsoft has filed for a patent that allows Kinect to monitor the number of viewers in the room. It then cross-checks this with the maximum number of viewers permitted by the licence that a user agrees to when purchasing or renting content.
If it is deemed that too many people are present, the user will be prompted to pay an additional fee to upgrade the licence.
Says the filing: “The users consuming the content on a display device are monitored so that if the number of user-views licensed is exceeded, remedial action may be taken.”

Now that ridiculous, Microsoft needs to learn that sometimes leaving well enough alone is the best route

How about covering the camera or unplugging camera? Or maybe putting a picture in front of it with 3 people in it? So many ways around this stupidity. The harder they make it the more they push people away.

Microsoft is going to put themselves out of business with the amount of additional fees. I'm getting a ps4 now.

Guys relax about the video drm to limit people in the room thing. Companies file for every patent they can think of. Doesn't mean they are actually going to do it.

Mandatory internet connection and game installs may force me back to playstation.

Paying fees for second hand games, ridiculous. BTW are they also touting the security of this Xbox as well? And those of us with internet caps I hope MS is going to pay our overages (Well not me, but any of you fan boys out there).

Spend more on a console that has already announced how it plans to screw the consumer? No thanks.

Does the rest of the world hate Windows 8 as much as I do?

I bought my wife a laptop earlier this year with Windows8 on it. Takes me forever to find stuff. Start button is coming back this year though.

If there's no backwards compatibility there is no reason for me to have any brand loyalty. PS4 all day.

I don't understand why MS is not taking the consumer into account and is FORCING this stuff onto us. I've always been a Playstation fanboy, and all of this is solidifying that. All these companies (Talking to you too EA) need a real swift kick in the nuts by the consumer to get the changes we want and should have.
