Wow! What short and sweet sugar. I guess we have some backup as to why the staff found him a position.

Big disparity between the sites on him. But who cares what they think. The dude is a monster.

As the announcer said in the Mad Max movie when he was to fight the Blaster part of Master-Blaster: "He is .... THE BALL-CRACKER".

Michigan,

I see your Kyle Bosch and raise you a John Montelus.

Suck it,

Hold that thought. Bosch is #77 overall and #9 at position whereas Montelus is #79 overall and #26 at position lol.

We are loaded with talent finally in the O-Line pipeline. That plus a really good O-Line coach and a S&C program that builds strength while shucking fat, means the old days when Notre Dame just confidently re-loaded there every year, and a consistent stream of bigs traipsed to the pros, are back.

Even if Cave, Golic, ZMart, AND Watt all leave after this year, adding five to replace four is an improvement. That following year line-up should look like Lombard and NMart anchoring, with Hegarty in the middle. Hopefully we won't REALLY have to replace ZMart AND Watt both, but if we do, we'll have Prestwood and Ronnie Stanley and Mark Harrell coming, if Hanratty, Heggie, or Carrico don't rise up, which one or more could. That's nine vets, plus this class' Five Fingers of Doom as frosh. O-Line coaches don't like to waste eligibility of Frosh linemen, but Montelus could be an exception ... or Bivin, or Elmer. [I'm leaving the taller slimmer guys out for a year of getting muscle-mean].

My actual bet for the year after next is Prestwood/ Watt/ Hegarty/ NMart/ Lombard ... not bad for losing two NFLers in Cave and ZMart.

In another year after that, Montelus, Stanley, Elmer et al will be battling it out for Lombard's and Watt's old jobs as they go to the League. And so it will go for as far as we can see. IF we stick with Kelly and Hiestand.

IF we stick with Kelly and Hiestand.

And Jack Swarbrick would be insane not to do just that.

How anyone can look at this program for more than ten seconds and not see the vast amount of improvements, is beyond me.

Sometimes it tough to see the forest through the trees of lackluster QB play, 4th quarter flops against Michigan, TJ Jones getting a ball off his noggin, the fumbles-for-TDs by Crist and Gray, and losing the best pass rushing DE on the team.

What I like about this OL class is that every prospect has at least a few scouting services that think they're 4:s: and each one of them has at least a few big time offers. We have 5 guys that are consistently regarded as above average OL. I'm sure you would agree Buster that the key to ANY good football team is dominant line play. We've steadily made that happen.

Per Sapp also victim of OSU rumors. Was talk going around that that he is in regular contact with OSU coaches and he responded by saying he doesn't even talk to any coaches from other schools so there is no way it can be true.

Hey OSU, you are barking up the wrong tree. Go beg some other school's kids to jump ship.

Gotta love it. Night and day from the attitude of some of the "unnamed" kids that were (temporarily) a part of last year's class.

Just have to figure the most important position..... If BK does that, there is no limit.
