I don't understand why MS is not taking the consumer into account and is FORCING this stuff onto us. I've always been a Playstation fanboy, and all of this is solidifying that. All these companies (Talking to you too EA) need a real swift kick in the nuts by the consumer to get the changes we want and should have.

Because they know people will still buy their junk. Until people revolt and demand change nothing will happen. If Sony sits around and waits to see the results and reacts they could just win by default. PS Network is a bonus with not having to pay, but the security issues remain.

Very true. Sad, but true. I would love to see it happen, but would be extremely hard to. If Sony can shape up security it could be a great generation of systems for them.

The only thing that could kill the Xbone would be if Halo was available on PS4. That's obviously not going to happen.

E3 is coming up this week IIRC, so we should get to see some games and find out more stuff. Ive owned the PS1 and 2, and the Xbox and Xbox 360 and Halo was always one of my favorite games. But Microsoft has been constantly screwing people over and id say im probably 90% in favor of the PS4 now. I just think Microsoft is being ridiculous and i dont want to be sucked into their BS. Sonys online play is free and i dont want to be required to have kinect and be connected online 24/7 to play games. Plus the xbox one seems to be centered around all the multimedia stuff like watching tv and movies, skype, and all the fantasy sports alerts and stuff dont interest me much. I have my satellite or cable to watch it, and i really have no need to get fantasy alerts, i just want a gaming console. People will still buy the Xbox one but i think this has the possibility to be a flop for Microsoft.

I want to support MIcrosoft desperately, but we don't even have all the info about both consoles yet. I completely understand and agree why Microsoft is getting blasted, but we don't have all the info yet. I've always gotten both, but not this time. I'm getting one system and that's it. If I was choosing today, it would be PS4. Maybe after today we'll have more clarity to make a more informed choice.

Keep waiting for the other show to drop on Sony's end regarding DRM. Publishers control DRM more than hardware developers and I have a hard time thinking they are going to be restrictive on one console and allow the other to "fly free."

Showing off some pretty cool looking games for the xbox one today, im looking forward to see what sony has to show tonight. Project Spark on xbox one basically lets you create your own world and game on there its really interesting.

the battlefield delay was hilarious. A sneak peek at gaming with "the cloud".

They really need to open up these consoles to independent development. Some people not related to gaming studios have some really awesome ideas.

Was that an issue with the presentation or an issue with the gaming system??

Most of the videos they play on these shows are all playing off a computer. Even gameplay footage is a pre recorded. So it was almost certainly not a system issue.

Sony is expected to release this info during E3 this week. So far the most prevalent estimations for the price of Ps4 are $350 or $430. Either way for a system that appears to be superior it will still much cheaper than XboxOne.

Looks like Microsoft threw in the towel on this one. The new XBox will not have to connect to the internet every 24 hours and used games will work as before.
