I believe you judge a guy by how he deals with his adversities.

Off-topic Manti related grievance. I never said anything about it all year because he was awesome, but it killed me every time he would say the "life is a storm" quote. That's one of my favorite quotes of all time and he would just butcher it every time.

Not sure whose thread this belongs in but Kyle Allen and Mark Andrews both trying to get Starks to play senior year with them. Somebody tweeted about them all going to ND together from it and Andrews retweeted. Love the sound of these guys taking him in and wanting to ease the situation.

That would be really fun to watch! I think ND would have the most to gain from those guys playing together.

I love that. I hope it works out for Nathan, I hope he comes through this a bigger man, I love that these two guys are anxious to help him.

I don't know about in Arizona, but in Ohio even a mere retweet of encouragement for a player to come to your school for football would make said player ineligible.

Was just reading an article that allows "recruiting" in a sense because he is a student without a school. He has to move out of state anyway (if he wants to play ball) so his eligibility will remain intact because of the unique status he can claim. It is as much an encouragement to go back to school, work hard, and prove he can still be worthy of a scholarship as much as saying let's go win a state title.

Indiana Warns 10-Year-Olds: Being Recruited Now Means No High School Sports Later - Forbes

For the first time in history, the Indiana High School Athletic Association’s bylaws on recruitment are no longer being applied to high school students alone. With the passing of Bylaw 20-2 this past summer, potential student-athletes as young as 10 could lose their high school eligibility if recruitment is found.

IHSAA Commissioner Bobby Cox said the association in Indianapolis that governs high school sports in the state has heard reports of outside people influencing youngsters to attend a certain school to play sports.

If found out, a fifth-grader could lose his or her high school athletic eligibility.

Has anyone seen the actual tweets? I looked last night but couldn't find anything...although I'm not familiar with these new fangled tweets and bookfaces you kids are using nowadays.

Lol, that's literally the dumbest thing I've ever heard of.

Attending Cherry Creek High School in Denver, Colorado for his senior year per his twitter.

No idea why. It's a public school that doesn't have a state championship since 1996.

I checked out their homepage and they claim to offer summer courses to students who are trying to make up credits, which I imagine he needs to do. Although I suppose most hs offer that.

If it's a public school he has to have some connection in terms of family living there.

According to Wikipedia, the coach at Cherry Creek is Dave Logan who had a very successful career at Mullen HS before being investigated for recruiting violations....

I didn't realize recruiting violations happened in hs. How much do the top hs coaches make?
