Check out the 11w thread on ND's possible stadium changes. You'll have to read thru a bunch of it to get to the really good stuff, but it's lol worthy.
What is 11w? Do you have a link?

I'm on my phone. Google eleven warriors, then go to the football forum. It'll be one of the top three or so threads listed.
Man, I was expecting a lot worse. Honestly, on an OSU board, written by an OSU fan, that really isn't that bad. I've seen WAY more homerism on their boards, and on here too (don't even get me started on the Denard Robinson thread lol).
At least he admits we have a great O-line coach, and while I disagree that they have a great O-line coach, I do think Warriner is pretty good, just not great and nowhere near the recruiter that we have in Heistand.
If I'm an OSU fan, my anger is directed at Warriner's recruiting, not at player's looking for an easy entry into playing time.
When he was here, I thought Warriner was the greatest thing since sliced bread... then Heistand came in, kept the o-line play at a good level, and has absolutely destroyed it in recruiting. No contest at the moment.

Tommy Rees beat Michigan with his legs. Let that sink in for a second.

You brilliant, brilliant man.
That thread is a f'ing mess.
The entire site is a ****ing mess.
If there was a way to somehow have Eleven Warriors and MGoBlog manifest themselves as people and kill each other off, I'd be all for it. Hell, I'd pay to see it.
11W is where the biggest douches in the Ohio State crowd get together, lube up, and have at it. It's more than a message board, they have daily(ish) articles written with by a slew of dudes you just read one paragraph of and want to punch through the computer. It's just the worst.
It'd be like if the mods here suddenly dropped dead, and all of the great levelheaded posters went with them...and just left us to circlejerk ourselves into Irish nirvana land. Only it's Ohio State and it's 11W.
). Well, ND has been relevant in the national scene, both in terms of ranking as well as recruiting, in the last 3-4 years. Before that, Ty Willingham was... well, Ty Willingham. Weis was a joke. Sure, it's a correlation, but I think that explains the animosity you've encountered there.Do you spend time over on 11W, Buster? I've never been there, but I've been on Buckeye Planet. Have you been on BP, and how does it compare?
I've spent a lot of time on Buckeye Planet since some of their mods invited a bunch of us from a now defunct Irish board for the '06 Fiesta Bowl. Growing up in Ohio I too have an affinity for the Buckeyes, but Irish always came first. BP was a pretty nice site for several years, cool to get other perspectives and general information, but the last 3-4 years it's definitely been much less level headed and rather anti-Irish. It comes mostly from several to a dozen posters, but a lot of them are the more vocal ones. Leaves me a little conflicted with Buckeye fans being an Ohio State fan myself and an Irish fan (even worse now that I'm married into a Buckeye family as well).
Anyway, long story short, I still like Buckeye Planet to an extent, but it's not quite as habitable as it once was. Sometimes you can't get into an ND discussion without someone throwing out a scissor lift "joke" and trying to prod you into getting yourself banned. Hasn't happened yet, but mostly because I'm not stupid enough to take the bait.

PS: You didn't imagine I'd be replying to this post now, did you?

I got banned from 11W when they went on a tired one day bring up the accused rape and I mentioned facts from the case that didn't paint Notre Dame as Rapefest 2011. I'll put it that way.
I've never been to BP. I was a big fan of jjhuddle.com (formerly Ohio's far and away best discussion on high school sports) before it hit the fan and everyone jumped ship to this freehuddle.com/ohiochatter.com site that popped up, but even there the Ohio State fans just unleashed a relentless barrage of Notre Dame hate, totally unwarranted. I haven't posted there in forever. I'm good here.
I mostly just can't understand why people on those sites never talk real football. It's just a circlejerk. That's what I love about this place, there is actual substance to it every single day. Some of it is written in some weird Gaelic pictographs by Bogs, but it's here.

When Heistand came in Kelly, Martin, and Heistand changed the blocking scheme. So what you note as a continued high level of offensive line play, was in the midst of a major change, where most of the time you would expect a dropoff!
Got to wonder now if the Bars commit today is going to push Jones towards the Buckeyes or maybe Michigan. I don't see him going to Michigan, but with 4 OL now for '14 and 5 guys last year it's going to be a little tight for us.
I never thought we had a realistic shot with Jones, I thought we were just a hat on his table?

Ain't no wonder about it, Notre Dame got their man in Alex Bars. Dog and pony high school football analysts may see, with his size, some upside in Jamarco Jones, but I don't. Like his high school football competition, Jamarco Jones is a big Mister Softie!

Staff would still take him if he wanted in per Wiltfong. And yes Braden Smith even if we sign 15 OL.
