Ha ha, that was a funny night.

...

He deleted his account 5 minutes later and that was that LOL. Like I said, not something I'm proud of but it funny at the time (reason #2,614 it was time for me to step down), and it has probably saved the new mods a lot of headaches. I don't doubt that he's posting under a new name (you guys would be amazed at how many people we catch doing this).

(Quick tangent...he'll probably look back at all the things he has written and realize how foolish he was. I can't imagine all the stupid things I would have said on a site like this as a high schooler. Shoot, I'm 38 now and I still do stupid things, so imagine me as a high schooler??? There are a couple of high school kids on here now, one of which has said a lot of stupid things, but he has gotten better lately. Happens with age and experience. We have some great members who started in high school, but man, that's a tough age for many just because of maturity issues. Rant over.)

The qualifier at the end is appreciated. I had several conversations with Domelover. I never had a problem with him and always thought he was a good kid. Yeah he started out tweeting recruits on the reg, but he apologized for it and we all moved on.

He had his heart set on going to Notre Dame and loved the school - that's probably why he wasn't out on a Friday night in high school getting drunk and partying. I respect the hell out of that because that's the way I was.

Like every other high school kid in the entire world, he didn't have a fully-developed filter. I feel like we don't need to drag him through the mud (again) or the past transgressions of any other board member. The exception, obviously, being allgator.

I've blatantly and shamelessly used the name and image of Häagen-Dasz, a registered trademark. I'm so ashamed.

And you should be. It's Dazs not Dasz. (I read the small print.)

I'll cut you some slack for the rum induced transposition but GB ...

Dang! It's looking more and more like I should make an appointment with the optometrist, admit defeat/bite the bullet and trade the bifocals in for trifocals.

The keyboard can get a bit blurry.

Yes he did. Until they find somebody new I imagine he's going to be very active on the board.

Here is an update from Stu Coman who owns the magazine and website.

-- Thanks for the love you showed Jason Sapp in the over 160 posts reacting to his last day with us. He was very humbled and appreciative of your response.

-- While we are losing Jason, Steve Wiltfong will continue contributing to our football recruiting coverage. Steve grew up in South Bend, started working at the South Bend Tribune in high school and was part of IrishSportsDaily.com before joining 247Sports, where he is now recognized as one of the very best in the business.

Steve and Jason were an amazing team and dominated coverage of Notre Dame football recruiting.

-- We are currently interviewing “prospects” at our office in South Bend, and we are very encouraged by the quality of the applicants. They have all talked with Jason and are aware of the demands of the job.

We will complete the interview phase on Friday and then start the decision process. Steve is also assisting in our search and evaluation process.

Our goal is ambitious — we want to hire the next Jason Sapp.

We’ll keep you posted on any developments. Thanks for your business (and your patience).

What's your beef with Arnold?

Well I guess in terms of breaking new's he isn't all that great. I remember during the Blue Gold game last year he was talking about incoming recruits and honestly had no idea what he was talking about. I think some of his articles can be very biased, in terms of NBC they have some fantastic sports journalist's. I just think they could do much better. I remember in terms of transfers or landing a recruit, he is always to days late. Maybe I haven't slept in a day and half and going on a mini rant but I just don't think he is a good sports journalist.
