Staff offering a lot of Louisiana prospects. No idea why they think we can pull kids from that state, but would be awesome if we did.

Big Bama lean with LSU in the mix. I guess they figure we might get lucky on one of them?

Looks like no LSU offer yet either.

Would love to steal a few of them. I would assume the coaches have a better feel for the pulse of these kid's perception of ND. Maybe it's getting a lot more recognition down there. We must remember (and I know we all try to) that this past year was the first time these kids have ever seen ND be any good and vying for a NC.

Good sign. Either way, I would love to snag a kid from this area. Who's the last kid we got from LA?

Amazing the amount of skill player talent this year in LA. We've offered 1 RB and 4 WRs Lousiana to date

Most LSU fans think they're looking more at 4-5. They consider Noil and Quinn near-locks and are confident with their odds of landing Dupre. Tony Upchurch is already committed. They also feel very good about Saeed Blacknall, who visited over the weekend. Sims is at the top of the list of guys who likely won't get an offer unless they miss on one of those guys, mainly because of fit. He's the slowest of the top Louisiana wideouts, and LSU's offense isn't really built around possession receivers.

I've had a chance to see a couple of these guys play now. Noil and Dupre are the prizes of the group. If Dupre keeps developing, he's going to be the best wideout in this class. He's got Michael Floyd-like potential. Noil's a pure burner who's gonna have to transition from QB.

Wide receiver Cameron Sims of Monroe (La.) Ouachita Parish was one of three wide outs offered by Notre Dame on Monday. He’s also one of three wide outs that Notre Dame has offered in the state of Louisiana.
“My high school coach told me that Notre Dame was offering today [Tuesday],” Sims said. “I know they were just in the running for the national championship and I know Notre Dame is a good school, but I don’t know too much other than that.”
As of right now, Sims said Notre Dame will likely get an official visit.
“I’m pretty sure I’ll be going to Notre Dame on an official visit, unless something changes,” Sims said.
Notre Dame assistant coach Kerry Cooks painted the picture in Sims’ mind of three Bayou wide outs dawning a Notre Dame jersey.
Coach Cooks told me that I fit the program very well,” Sims said. “He said that I would play on the outside, and Trey Quinn and Malachi Dupre would play slot and we would really dominate. I know Trey and Malachi a little from camps and 7 on 7.”
Sims said his speed his deceptive because of his frame, but that often plays in his advantage.
“Guys down here in the South look at me as slow before we step on the field because I’m 6-foot-4, 285, but on the field they realize I’m actually fast,” Yeargin said. “Guys down here are either big and slow or small and fast, but I’m big and I’m pretty fast. I run well and can create something in a small space.”
Sims says leaving Louisiana is a foreseeable option, and he was supposed to visit the Tide last week, but he couldn’t make it.
“I couldn’t make it to Alabama last weekend, something came up, but I’ll get over there soon.”
“Going out-of-state doesn’t bother me,” Sims said. “All the out-of-state schools are the same right now. I want to find the best school for me. The main thing for me will be academics. My mom pushes me hard in school.”
Sims is playing recruiting by ear, and not making any set-in-stone plans.
“I want to take some official visits, but I don’t really know when I’ll make my decision,” Sims said. “I’ll know when I know.”
Sims is a four-star prospect and ranked as the No. 13 wide receiver in the 2014 class. He was offered yesterday by the Irish along with Manalapan (N.J.) High Saeed Blacknall and Tyrone (Ga.) Sandy Creek Demarre Kitt.

At some point, if you offer enough LA prospects, one of them is bound to accept.

If academics are really important to him i could see us really making a push for him.

According to TJ, Cameron Sims and Chi Dupre have been talking with us about visiting this summer and/or fall, and there's been legitimate dialogue both ways at least.

If Cooks landed 3 LA receivers under the noses of the SEC...where would we build his statue?

I'll going to have to believe there would be multiple sites dedicated to him in various poses. I may have to order one for my front yard instead of that little flag the Gator fans have around here.

“I want to go to a school that puts wide receivers in the pros,” Sims said.

he is visiting georgia this weekend and said:Honestly the distance is not really a factor,” Sims said. “I actually go visit my aunt in Atlanta a few times every summer for three weeks, so Georgia kind of feels like a second home to me.”

“No. 1 is probably Alabama,” Carr said. “He has been on campus at least three times. Of course their tradition on and off the field helps, as does Coach [Nick] Saban’s plan for [players] after they graduate, the resources and expectations all play into that, and from his mother’s standpoint they have made a great impression. Oklahoma State also impressed Sims a few weeks ago when he visited. Auburn and Georgia are two other SEC schools he is really excited about seeing for the first time.”

insider...ND is just mentioned--- as Sims also will visit Auburn, Mississippi State and Ole Miss next week, with a trip to USC, Oregon and Notre Dame later this month.

ISD seems to think he is locked in for next weekend. ND definitely trails but at least has a chance to make an impression.

Bama leads for both Cameron's in La right now.... Sims and Robinson. If Nick lands both Les is gonna feel a little heat from the bayou.
