agree on jim nantz comments above. did you know in his divorce he demanded to keep a self portrait painting of himself....the thing was hung over his fireplace in his home. was about 4 ft by 6ft. talk about an ego!
of course i could be jealous of the guy with the best gigs in sports (especially having ncaa tourney right into the masters--dang!)

To be fair, I think that painting was given to him as part of an award for winning "man of the year".

I remember the Stanford game so clearly, I hated Hammond so much in that game. It was a beautifully gorgeous sunset if you all remember. They had just returned from ads and Hammond said "And the orange sun setting on Notre Dames undefeated season...might be setting on Notre Dames undefeated season".
I was so furious its not even funny.
