holy sh** his hand is gone
Isn't great?? In one fell swoop he goes from being a character I just want to see killed off to one of the most interesting characters.

Welcome to the world of GRRM lol. It's even more expansive in the books.
Could somebody please pm me what's going on with Theon's helper? I read the books a while ago but I definitely don't remember this.
im with you on this...who is that guy??
I think this is just made for TV stuff because I read book 3 a month or so ago and can't recall any mention if Theon, except by other characters thinking he was dead. There definitely weren't any chapters related to him. That being said, I'm interested tosee where this goes though.

did the helper/kickass bow and arrow guy take out the younger bolton with that last quiver?
this would be a huge deviation from the book

whiskey you may want to consdier editing your post above as i think this thread just for the hbo series----you have some spoilers in there...
I deleted the last sentence, as that's the only "spoiler" from the books which hasn't been directly shown or alluded to in the TV series yet.
In my defense, you asked who he was!
His right hand. For a guy who's entire identity is bound up in being a bad *** knight, Jaime's loss of his dominant hand is pretty significant.
Agreed. I'm not opposed to having a modern band play one of GRRM's songs over the credits (as NDinMich mentioned, it was done last season too), but Jaime losing his hand is both significant and shocking. Launching into a punk song right afterward robbed the scene of some effect.
This was my point. I'm not opposed to the songs, I rather like modern music in 'period' shows/movies. But it just took away from the darkness and complexity of the scene.
The hand chop was gnarly. As for criticizing using a "punk" song for the closing credits...lol. Google GG Allin.
This episode...WOW!
The enjoyment during an episode is matched equally by the frustration of realizing I have to wait a week for the next one.
I haven't read the books, but it's looking like Daenerys Targaryen is about to absolutely **** on some people and it's going to be awesome.
Tywin Lannister is such a boss. I really only think I hate Cersei, Joffrey, and Jaime. Tywin and Tyrion are extremely likeable, so far.
