Not that I know of ... I should have said "transferring for his 5th year" instead of "going pro." That strikes me as more likely.

But again, most likely scenario is that he is back at ND next year. Just engaging in some good old fashioned ambiguous tweet interpretation for funsies.

I think Fox will be back. He has improved over the last 2 years and I see no reason why he won't for his final season here! If I had to guess who the starting MLB's were gonna be I'd say Fox and Grace. I also think Fox with the right attitude could potentially be a Captain this potentially being his third year as a starter. That's just speculation of coarse but I think he has what it takes to be a great leader on this team!

No, it was an injury keeping him out just for spring ball. He will be ready to go in the summer

Thanks. To clarify, I thought he maybe re-aggravated something in the shoulder OR they found something in the surgery that was going to take a longer rehab. Good to know that's not the case and the guy is wrong.

Kind of interesting to hear in the Strong and True - MSU Review, how Danny Fox has been injured all season! Those nagging back injuries are the worst! Hope that he is healed! And I hope he and the ILB's have career days today!

I really hoped Dan would be drafted before the end.

But then someone with intelligence explained to me that sometimes UDFA was better, offered more flexibility for the player, etc.

If that is true I hope for the best for Dan. I always thought he was a great guy, that did whatever was needed for ND.

My only selfish thought was that if he were drafted, or GA or someone, that would have given ND the most of any college in the draft, and one more of the '12 defense drafted (if it was Fox.)

I think overall that ND and former ND players got the remarkably best situation they could have (team placement) to thrive in the NFL to the man.
