It was an unacceptable error for the communications people to allow that to happen, but at the same time, that shouldn't affect all of the other legitimate reasons why these kids choose a school. Seems to me EV likes the spotlight and just wants to have things his way or the highway. I just hope he's a team player once on campus.

A kid doesn't shut down the media during his recruitment if he loves the spotlight.

I do think he wants his moment in the sun tonight, but other than that I do not agree with your statement. He doesn't seem like the kid you described at all.

As silly as it seems to base your decision on that, if EV decided to go somewhere else because ND slipped up and announced it early — multiple people should be worried about losing their jobs in the ND athletic office.

I'm guessing someone will lose their job regardless of EV's decision. When your boss and the staff you support is generally described as "livid", it does not bode well for you.

Side note: I won't at all feel bad for UCLA if they don't get EV. They had a great class which includes a number of guys we'd have wanted, especially Fitts,Hollins, Massington and Savaiinea. All four are guys that I still want right now and am legitimately sorry we didn't get (unlike Willis and Goodman ... I'm happy with Redfield, Luke and the others in our defensive backfield).

Hibernation is an effective tactic for handling all manner of stressful situations. I used it frequently in college. Wish that was still an option for me.
