Guys A&M is not over signing. They took a small class last year and have a ton of EE this year. Also they have about 2-3 guys who won't qualify. Also that's why Prevot hasn't committed yet because he is waiting. A&M is fine.

Do I have this correctly?

Say all 3 guys don't qualify, that would leave them with 29 signees (saying that they don't sign anyone else). Take away 9 (10 is the NCAA max) EE's. That leaves 20 signees. So hypothetically, they can take five more recruits as long as they don't go over 85, correct?

Now... anybody know how many players they currently have on their roster?

Wouldn't be shocked if they lost some off their roster after the coaching change. Transfers, etc.

So what do people think are our chances of getting Prevot? Are they slim, or none? Serious question. Is there any chance that A&M won't have a spot for him? I guess not, or he would have followed through with visit plans for this weekend.

Really would love another LB in this class.

0%. If he can't / is not going to A&M for whatever reason, he will stay with USC.

There are many ways to game the NCAA rules, but carrying more than 85 on the roster isn't one of them. A&M will surely do what the rest of the SEC does; squeek under the 25 per class cap with EEs and disqualifiers, and push a few underperformers out the door if they end up over 85.

Apparently none, since he cancelled his visit. If we were still in the running, or he thought he might need a fall back, he surely would still be coming this weekend.

I read 9, but that's irrelevent. My point was to have some people actually look at their roster. In any reasonable account, it looks impossible for them to sign this current class (even with three guys not qualifying) without cutting players off of this roster. Now, maybe thats medical's or legit transfers, but I haven't read about players being alluded to for either.
